I’ve never seen any reactor comment on the ocho loco / Crazy 8 thing. I assume it is just so long between when you see him in Breaking Bad and this point that they forgot his nickname.

You may have caught that Lalo jokingly called Domingo "Ocho Loco" after he folded on a set of 8s (can't be seen beating the boss lol). Ocho Loco translates as Crazy-8, which is what he then referred him to as with Nacho in the diner.
So in just the 4 episodes (+ his intro scene) that Lalo has been in, he has given lore for Hector's bell from Breaking Bad AND invented the Crazy-8 nickname for Domingo Molina, which he later uses as his street name in Breaking Bad!
I think Jimmy saw that Kim wasn't feeling too great. She's not too happy with his personality detachment issues (Saul) or with herself for lying to her vulnerable client. So Jimmy decides to double down on the relationship by showing her a grand house and by making her laugh.
I think he knew that she'd find out about the 50% off deal sooner or later so decided to come clean about it while she was already annoyed with him so it can't really make things worse 😂
And by the time they left, she was smiling and possibly entertaining the idea of the house!
He really is a magic man.
The cold, dead stare that Tony Dalton (Lalo) does when talking about Domingo in prison is honestly chilling, even after rewatches. No words needed from him. Poor Nacho braving asking if he wanted him to kill his childhood friend :( Good thing they clearly need a LAWYER!
Jimmy really wasn't kidding when he said "long time no see" to Nacho.
S1E3 was the last time they saw each other! That's almost 2 years in-universe. Clearly the whole thing in the desert with Tuco stuck with Jimmy for him to remember Nacho.
And I loved the recognition of the metaphor at the end. Similar shot to the broken gnome at the end of the intro.
Keep hold of that metaphor for the next episode!
See you then :D

Good call on the ice cream being a metaphor for Jimmy's loss of happiness or innocence. I agree, especially in context of the next episode.
