Yeah, I'm an 80's kid (as if my name didn't give that away!), so the whole 80's synth retrowave vibe in the soundtrack sells the show for me too. But I love this show so much that I've gone deep into the lore and, omg, this show has built up quite the lore and fan theories. Trying not to spoil ANYTHING here, so I'll shut my demogorgon-sized trap. One thing to mention is that this show was originally going to be an anthology series, with totally different stories every season. However, as the first season was beconing such a runaway hit and everyone loved the characters so much, the Duffer brothers went ahead and just built on what was already there to continue on with the story.
