Avatar: The Way Of Water (runtime 3:12:37) - Patreon Version

Happy Saturday Everyone!

We couldn't get enough Pandora, so we're heading back again. This is both of our first time watching Avatar: The Way Of Water and it blew our minds. We were very excited to see a whole new side of Pandora, and all of the wild under sea visuals.

Also that ending...wow, it destroyed us. This movie was a rollercoaster, and we hope you'll join us on the ride!

I think what you see is that she experiences the world differently from those around her in profound ways. There might be some way in which you relate to that which you don't yet understand.

This film and the previous one make it somewhat obvious Kiri doesn't have a father. She has two mothers.

It has taken me a few days to process this film. Truth be told, I'm still wrapping my mind around the first one. I know that I loved them both, and I have some nebulous, hyper-emotional semblance of an understanding as to why; but I can only articulate it in thoughts that would be better off shared via telepathy. I just feel such a profound connection to everything Kiri is experiencing. I think everyone can relate to that "aloof" stage we all experience as teenagers, in which we just "KNOW" that nobody could possibly understand us (we're totally wrong, and dumb, of course, but that doesn't mean that our emotions lack validity or weight in those times); but with her, there is a real-world manifestation of those feelings which impacts her beyond that internal war. God, there is so much going on with this movie. I'm having difficulty distancing myself from it enough to look at it as a work of art. I want to "critique" it and say that its construction was sloppy and all over the place, but at the same time, I can't deny that it had a pretty powerful effect on me. Guess I have to watch it again, but not right now, because it's 3:00 a.m., and nobody should be awake at 3:00 a.m. trying to process Hollywood Blockbusters!
