Armageddon (runtime 2:30:50) - Patreon Version

Haaaay!
Hell yeah, time for some serious ACTION! Explosions, check... great music, check... GIANT ASTEROID THAT'S GOING TO DESTROY THE EARTH? CHECK! So now you just have to buckle up and enjoy the ride, and boy oh boy is it ever a ride haha. I honestly can't even believe how intense this movie was. And we both loved every second of it!

One of my favorite 90โ€™s action movies. I know it gets a lot of ๐Ÿ’ฉ for the premise, plot holes and script, but itโ€™s so much fun. I donโ€™t go to the movies to watch things that are 100% accurate and true to real life, that would be duuuuull. ๐Ÿ˜‚ And the cast was SO good, they make it easy not to care if something doesnโ€™t make sense or if a line is cheesy. Loved watching you guys react to this movie, so glad you enjoyed it. ๐Ÿ’œ And yes, there was a lot of Aerosmith on the soundtrack. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Liv is Steven Tylerโ€™s daughter, and I believe I read somewhere that the band was shown a rough cut of the movie so that they could understand how their music would fit in, and when they saw the scene of Grace saying goodbye to Harry right before he blew up the asteroid it convinced them to be involved with the movie and record โ€œDonโ€™t Wanna Miss A Thingโ€ for the soundtrack.

I think this was the loudest film I ever saw at the cinema, I'm sure when i came out my ears were ringing and you felt so jacked from the adrenaline!

Let's pray for Bruce Willis, who suffers from frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Let's also pray for his family. It must be devastating for them to watch him get worse every day. As someone who lost his grandfather to ALS there is no way to put in words that feeling of seeing someone deteriorate before your eyes.

This was such a fun reaction. I've not seen this movie in like 20 years and I've had so much fun rewatching it with you. It's SO cheesy and full of plot holes, but it knows what it is - pure ninetees FUN. Here's a few more or less related suggestions: For another 90s movie starring Bruce Willis and Steve Buscemi that is even refercenced in Armageddon - Pulp Fiction For a bit more realistic space mission movie where everything goes wrong - Apollo 13 For another start to finish nonstop intense action - Mad Max: Fury Road And of course for another 1998 disaster movie involving an asteroid and a member of the fellowship of The Ring - Deep Impact
