2024-12-25 02:24:35 +0000 UTCWell as far as Christmas traditions, most of my family has passed on so what family we have left we get together either Christmas morning or the Saturday after Christmas and that's when we have our family time but as far as movies go, I started my own tradition once I moved out and got on my own. Some I've added over the years and some I've always watched. I have to start every Christmas season with my top 3 Christmas movies: Love Actually, Last Christmas, and Happiest Season. Then I get into the more traditional things with die hard, It's a Wonderful life, Miracle on 34th Street, the old claymations like Santa Claus is coming to town and Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer. Closer to Christmas time I've started the new tradition of watching the BBC's The Nativity miniseries and however many versions of How the Grinch Stole Christmas I can possibly get done without getting sick of it LOL and then of course Christmas Eve, I started violent night. I basically have over 200 Christmas movies that I cycle, because I can't do them every year obviously, and more come out every year. The Candace Cameron Bure Hallmark movies are generally really good and there's a few cheesy ones that I enjoy too. But sometimes tradition isn't necessarily what the majority does but what you find brings you the most Joy. So inspiration is wonderful but I hope you'll be able to find the groove that fits your family and may it continue for years to come :)
