Welcome back for another Gooeycandy Newsletter, where you get up to date with ALL things gooeycandy! Let's dive right in!

The convention is officially less than a month away! I finally caught up on making merch and designing my booth, so I should have way more time to work on actual art!! So, sorry if this newsletter is a little light on the content!

🎨 Art & Project Progress:

• Pin Progress! Here are the new pins! They're all complete, and look pretty rad! They're being shipped to me soon, can't wait to see how they look in person!!

  

  

  DOI-OI-OI-OING!!!

• New Stickers: All the new sticker designs arrived and look great, I'll be listing them in the shop after the convention on June 8th, so please wait just a bit longer for those, thanks!

  Here's the full body piece for the Flynn Rider sticker from last week! It was supposed to be a button pin like the Bowser one, but the manufacturers have an issue with NSFW all of a sudden? Y’all printed Bowser cock last month, what changed 😩!

  

• Milo Card: The card is finally done! It will get its own post when it is officially listed next week!! I just need to take product photos/thumbnails + print/cut more of the card first!

• Hands On! Progress: like usual, If you know anyone who is skilled at Unity/working with 2D assets and may be interested, send them this application please!! I’ll likely be reaching out shortly after the convention wraps up!

🔎 Current Focuses: 

• MORE ART!! I've been so busy prepping for Barapalooza, I've had to put art on the back burner. BUT NO LONGER. Here are the things I want to prioritize post-convention!

  • Doug (Poll Winner) piece!

  • Original Character key art!!

  • Next Poke-Man card! 👀

  • THAT DAMN ART BOOK!!!!!

  • Also maybe some TikToks bc I got Procreate Dreams finally so I can animate to audio!

What is your favorite "archetype" for guys?

I love designing new characters, but I always catch myself falling into the "dude-bro" archetype. I wanna really start fleshing out the "Gooeyverse" but it can’t be chock full of frat bros with caps. Help me out!!

Beat Echoes of Wisdom! That was such a lovely game start to finish. Good vibes, fun puzzles, cute aesthetic. I'm so sad it's over!

A lot of my big stressors are finally coming to an end soon, so hopefully that means I can start feeling less insane lol. Flying across the country for a wedding this weekend and it's the longest plane ride I've ever been on!! Excited but also HATE dressing for fancy events. I love wearing big t-shirts and basketball shorts and having messy hair!!!!!!

Oh also! Almost forgot to mention, but it's my birthday! 🥳🍰 Surprise Gooey is a Taurus reveal ♉!

⚽ Now to Gooey with Sports: Finished the season in 2nd place! NOT BAD!! I got some really important catches in the final game, but they just barely beat us in the last inning. AH WELL. Also did Super Mario trivia and got 2nd place!! Well you know what they say.... 2nd place is the 1st loser! 🌟

🎥 NOW WATCHING: Survivor, Hacks, RPDR5

SPOILERS AHEAD!! Don't read if not caught up!

Survivor: Oh so we're just fully not making moves this season....got it. The only way this season gets redeemed is if Kamilla pulls this win off somehow. Now we wait!

Hacks: Why does this show feel the need to make me have emotions? This episode was so PAINFUL to watch Ava go through so much cringe lol. I really hope Deborah really learned her lesson this time PLEASE let my girls work it out finally I'm in shambles.

RPDR Season 5: Never seen a full season but I quote season 5 enough to give it a shot and so far it's really fucking funny. Poor miss Cha Cha clowned to oblivion.

Also, may or may not have a pal on the cast of next season 👀 so I gotta educate myself!!!
