And a small update about the merch project.. After a delay, things are finally moving forward. I'm really excited about this and waiting to see the first sample. If all goes well, I'll be able to talk more about this first Gods'School merch in a few weeks 🤞

Hello everyone!

I know it's been a (very) long time, and I want to thank your for your continued support.

I didn't have much to share these past months. I've been working on the episode and I don't really have any interesting updates about the future godsschool merch yet. These things take time to happen, and it's not really in my hands, so I'm just being patient. I'll share more about this exciting project as soon as things move forward :)

But, in the meantime: Episode 10 will finally be out in a bit more than a month, On July 10!✨ The episode will be approximately 5 minutes long and has 4 characters only.

Episode 10 Update

Hello Everyone :)

Happy New year to all of you ✨ ( I know I'm a bit late, but it's still January, so I guess it counts)

It's time for a little update on episode 10!

This episode will focus on Persephone, Hades and also Minthe 👀 It will be the occasion to dive deeper into their stories, especially Persephone 's story, through her interactions with both Hades and Minthe.

 Here are a few sketches/concept and storyboard drawings

I also have some exciting news to share! I can't reveal too much for the moment but I'm collaborating with a company to launch a first godsschool merch this year ! :) I'll share more details about this in the coming months.

Episode 9 sketches and deleted scenes

Hello Everyone!

First of all, thank you so much for your constant support!💜

I'm sharing some unseen sketches and scenes from episode 9 " Eris and the Olympians" this was a request from of you here on Patreon :)

In the video you'll see an extract from the final sequence that didn't make it to the episode. I felt it was a bit too much and out of character for Eris to express her feelings so directly to Paris.

I'm also sharing a few drawings I made before starting the storyboard. You can see Dionysus, Artemis, Hestia. Apollo, Aeolus and Persephone. And different scenes : Athena vs Poseidon, Paris saving Sfiga and finally Aphrodite after her outburst. These are some concept sketches I sent to the voice actors (together with the script) to help them visualize the scenes :)

There is also another scene of Eris trying to repeat something to say to Morpheus while feeling observed by people around her. I changed this scene so many times! At one point I included Lyssa in it (the goddess with a "dog tiara") looking at Eris. I had to remove this scene from the episode and combine it with another because it was too repetitive and it didn't work well.

I hope you enjoy these. The production of this episode has been a lot! I'd say it's the "Eris effect"! But I'm relieved it's done and I'm relly excited to work on Hades and Persephone next :)

This episode includes Eris, Aphrodite, Sfiga, Paris, Hermes, Zeus, Hera, Apollo, Demeter, Persephone, Poseidon, Dionysus, Ares, Aeolus, Athena, Eos, Niki, Hecate, Artemis, Eirene, Morpheus, Hades, Hephaestus, Hestia, and many other background characters. And it should be approximately 7 minutes 🎞

Episode 09 Update

Hello Everyone ✨

I'm sorry for not posting here for a while and I want to thank you all for your support! 🙏

I want to share some updates on episode 9. It took me weeks to write the script. It was a lot of work but also fun ^^ Here are a few sketches and storyboard researches: This episode is all about Eris and you'll see many other characters like Paris, Sfiga, Apollo, Persephone.. I wanted this episode to feel like a reunion, a get-together, kind of like the pilot episode :)

I haven't find the title yet, but I'll keep you in touch

Hello everyone ! Here is a poster concept for episode 8 

As you can see, I'm thinking about releasing this episode in january 2024 ... :/  I still have too much work to do on it and I don't think it will be ready for december. I'll finish this illustration and I'll find a release date soon, but I have to work a bit more on the title/logo first.

Update Episode 8

Hello Everyone, 

It's been a while since my last post... Sorry about that! 

I'm currently working on animating episode 8 " Hera x Zeus" , which will be longer than the previous ones (around 7 minutes). I had to delay the production a bit, but I hope to catch up in the coming weeks.

The characters who will be in this episode are Hera🦚 Zeus ⚡ Aphrodite 💗 Athena 🦉 Iris🌈 ..          
And there will also be another guest in this episode, but I can't say more for the moment. I'll be posting more updates and storyboard sketches very soon.

About Episode 8 🦚

Hello Everyone :) 

I hope you enjoyed episode 7 on YouTube✨

I'm now working on the storyboard, and concept arts of episode 8. This one is called " Hera and Zeus"  (this is not the final logo) 

It will be a 5 minutes episode about Zeus, Hera, their relationship. The episode follows the events of episode 4 " Echo",  and Athena and Aphrodite are also in it!

Of course, Hera has a brand new outfit for this episode, and Here are some research ;)

I still have to work on the details, see if this outfit is not too complicated for the animation but I really like it! I wanted something diva/ dramatic ^^ Let me know what you think

Sorry I've been very busy with the episode 6 .. It's taking me me longer than I thought to finish it but it's ALMOST done ^^

Sneak Peek! Episode 6

Hello Everyone! I think it's time to give you more details about the next episode ^^

The episode is called 🥁... "Hades and Minthe"  😱 I know that people were expecting a "Hades/Persephone" episode, but I had to make this one first ;) 

Ep 6 is a backstory, and I was really excited to work a bit more on Minthe and her story with Hades. Ivy Dupler (the voice of Minthe) did an AMAZING job, I was so impressed by her performance, and I think that you're gonna "like" Minthe (or at least, not hate her😅)

You will also see new characters in this short episode, including the Lampades (the torch-bearing nymphs), and you'll get a glimpse of the Underworld ...✨

I think I'll post the episode in November, but I still have a lot of work to do before I fix a release date.

New episode is done! 💜

Hey Everyone! 

The new episode is done 🙌 I just finished the montage and I'll put it on YouTube next week :) 

Working on a short was exactly what I needed. It was awesome because I was fully focused on the few characters that appear in the episode. And it was so much less stressful than working on a 15min episode.☺

I wanted to share with you a short sneak peek , but Patreon doesn't allow me to post videos so I made a Gif (I hope it's working) 

I'll try to promote the episode on social media until the release date, and I'm also starting the next short. (I'll give you more details about this episode in a few weeks but I can already tell you that it includes Hades 😏 ...)

Last weeks have been a bit crazy, and I'm getting ready for July 7th and the release of the next episode. 🤞

Also, I learned recently that GodsSchool won the first prize in the kids animation category at ADAF festival in Athens (Greece) ✨ I'll make a post about it soon!! :)

Weekly Update 13 " Aphrodite ep5"

Hello Patrons :) 

It's time for a weekly update on GodsSchool! 

Last weekend (and yesterday) I tried 3D scultping for the first time. I'm always so amazed by the talented 3d artists on social media and I wanted to give it a try.  I knew it wouldn't be easy ... and, as expected, it's a lot more complicated that I thought 😅 But it's fun to learn new things!

I definitely need more time to understand the software and learn the basis of 3d modeling. I want to make something "clean" and I would love to design a model for 3D printing ... 🙄

I think I'll work on this a little more during the summer, because before that, I have to finish the first short "Aphrodite & Hephaestus" :)

A few days ago Lizzie Freeman (the voice of Aphrodite/ Sfiga) sent me her lines for the episode and I can't wait for your to hear her! Her voice acting is perfection 🤩 Here are two screencaps of the episode

Weekly Update 12

Hey Everyone :)

This week I'm sharing some info about the short episodes (in production) 

One of these shorts will be about Nyx!! That's why I modified a bit her rigg yesterday 

And in this episode, Hemera will make a short appearance... I'm working on her rigg right now and here is an animation test for her hair and her crown ✨I love her crown ^^

I'm really excited about the aesthetic of this short. It's called "Daughter of the Night" and I can't wait to share more details :)

Weekly Update 11

Hello Patrons, 

Today I'm sharing with you some old things.  I'll dig a little deeper in the next few weeks to find more concept arts , sketches etc

This is the first lineup I made in 2013/2014 (before the trailer) 

the first vector version of the characters

And a Cheerleader version of Hera and Aphrodite!

At some point,  Eris had a sort of magical bag, a kind of "Pandora's box" that she could use against the Olympians. I quickly gave up on this idea ^^

Second lineup is from 2015/2016 You can easily recognise the characters on this one :)

And THIS is the first drawing of Persephone (and Hades)  I had completely forgotten about this 😂 Back then, Hades ' number was still 13.  I changed it later for 11 because of the Nekyia / Katabasis (number 11) in the Odyssey

I hope that you enjoyed these old things :) this was a suggestion from Mystilik and I liked the idea.  If you have any questions about these, leave a comment below.
