[GOOEYCANDY] ‼️ Lots of News & Updates!

Hello, my lovely patrons! We're nearing the middle of 2024, so I wanted to organize my thoughts and future plans, and figured you guys would be interested in knowing what's coming up! Plus you can weigh in on what you're most excited for and maybe help me prioritize! I'm always saying "I'm working on stuff" so here's the aforementioned stuff!

Juicy Candy

Okay so first things first, I plan on launching an entirely new "brand" called Juicy Candy! Juicy Candy will be an entirely SFW internet persona, where I will post SFW illustrations, and even have a shop with completely family-friendly merch.

I know this seems sudden, but no it will not replace Gooey Candy, at all! The reasoning behind Juicy Candy is that the NSFW market is very fickle. Companies have been shutting down adult artists left and right, so it'll primarily serve as a safety net, where I can slowly build a following without the risk of losing my entire livelihood overnight. If you are interested, you can already follow juicycandy on Twitter, Bluesky & Instagram! There's nothing on there just yet, but I plan to start posting there soon!

Along with the safety, I can take some healthy breaks from NSFW work sometimes and not feel too guilty about it AND you guys can see some more variety from me! Win-Win!

The dog up there is Juicy Candy's mascot, his name is Dawson!

Best of Gooeycandy Art Book

Next up, I am working on an art book titled "Best of Gooeycandy 2019-2024"! This will be a roughly 40+ page book with several of my best pieces throughout the year, as well as some insight on me, past and future projects and ideas, my characters, and other surprises!

I wanted to run a Kickstarter, but they were being very mysterious about how much NSFW they allow, so when it's ready I may just do pre-orders! Stay tuned for that!

Hands On + Other Games!

I'm aware it's been quite a bit of time since the last Hands On title, and for that I apologize. Several obstacles have gotten in the way of completing the Beowulf update, but as of now we are still planning to get it done, when possible.

The visual novel was also shelved due to me hitting 100 walls trying to learn to code on Ren'Py (I'm not a coder, I'm an artist, you guys, cut me some slack lol)

In the mean time however, I am searching for a new coder/programmer to make a different game with! It would be a paid position! If you or someone you know may be interested in creating a NSFW game, fill out this form and I will get back to you with more info!

Future Merchandise

I've learned a lot in the 10 months of running this shop. Mostly that being the only person in every part of this process is a LOT of work. I'm still figuring out the best way to handle designing/creating/advertising/packaging without burning out, but rest assured, I'm getting a lot better.

NEW POKE-MEN CARDS are 100% on the way! I had been making some redesigns to the template as well as the thumbnails in the shop, and trying to figure out ways to outsource/make them faster (to no avail whoops) but now that that is out of the way, new cards are in the works. The next men I intend to make cards of are Professor Turo, Professor Birch, Norman, Milo and Lt. Surge (not necessarily in that order).

• If there's a Pokemon dude you wanna see a card of, let me know in the comments! (PS. I know I've asked a few times but always nice to get fresh opinions)

Aside from cards, I have been doing the research on creating/shipping other types of merchandise. My main interests right now are posters, more enamel pins, mousepads (of the tiddy variety) and body pillow cases. Clothing & other larger ideas are on the back burner until I can afford a place with more storage space haha.

Also in the next few days, I'll be putting some new stickers on my shop, as well as a restock of the popular HORNY and Sidon keychains AND the return of the limited edition Morty and Peony cards (I decided limited edition was dumb lol). So look out for that!

Original Characters

I'm finally making the effort to delve deeper into my original characters! So I've been working on key art of them, and want to have full character pages on a few of them in the near-ish future.

• What are some stats I should include in their bios? I'm already including birthday, age, height (and length 😉), turn ons/offs and more!

 I also plan to continue making merch of them! As a matter of fact, Flex is available as a freebie sticker right now in my shop!

Gooeycandy has become my full time job and while it's scary to be self-employed in this day and age, it's a dream come true. I want to continue to grow as an artist, even if it means combatting the craziness artists experience every day.
