Personal Post: A Little Break in Production

I know this isn't what you guys were expecting, but I need to take a little personal break in drawing for a little bit. I really am sorry to dampen everyone's spirits with this, but I figured I'd let you all know that I'll be gone for a while.
My dad died.
And I would like to take a few weeks to sort out my emotions and mourn and be sad. He was a legendary-tier dad, and we were very close. He was strong, and cool, and charismatic. And I still want to be like him when I grow up more. He supported me as an artist, and without my parents cheering me on, I probably wouldn't be here today, doing what I love.
It wasn't Covid. He was a funny guy. So, that irony wasn't lost on him. I don't think he'd understand this meme, but he did like to make people laugh, so F to pay respects, lads.

I'm sorry to hear that, I really am. I know with family and friends you can make the go away from losing. I know from experience because I lost my father too.

2020-07-20 19:52:42 +0000 UTCDeath is never an easy thing to deal with. There isn't a day I don't miss those I've lost, so I totally understand that you need some time to process and mourn. If anything I'd be worried if you didn't take any time to mourn and just brushed it off, especially if you two were close. The important thing to remember is that you are not alone, and that there are people who know what you're going through and are more than willing to be there for support. I'm sorry for your loss.

Welp, F in chat, and dicks out for father figure (he was a funny guy, you say, he'd get the sentiment). Take all the time you need and rest up as well. I hope he'll be fine out there and you'll be fine here too. Seems to be plenty of things being lost this year, not just out of the cow-virus. Grandfather died in March, and on a more minor note, just lost a pet last week. Something to commiserate I guess.
