Trouble is, Trump Derangement Syndrome only explains so much. At the end of the day, Trump is repeatedly bowing to China while simultaneously giving the finger to Japan, South Korea, Europe and Canada; jerking off in the Caribbean for no apparent reason; and hardening the domestic population against Republicans in a way that is almost certain to ensure at least a centre-left Democrat wave in the mid terms and in 2028. At which point all hope of actually doing something about this will likely be lost, because the entire Democratic party suffers from China Derangement Syndrome. Unfortunately for all of us, he is a lazy, stupid, greedy, incompetent pushover who envies Xi, Putin and Kim more than hating them, and is more than happy to allow morons like Marco Rubio, Stephen Miller and Peter Navarro to run the show, so long as his shitcoin scam is doing well and foreign and business leaders continue to buy policy from him via lavish bribes. This was more than likely the last best chance to stand up to China, and one year into his presidency, Trump has already almost completely blown it.
