Hello everyone,

Here is the next page of the second chapter of Makayla's story.

As you can probably tell, this image looks a bit different from the previous ones. In fact, I'm using a different method in all of Makayla's high school chapter. The previous pages were rendered in Blender using a graphic engine named EEVEE. This last page was done in Cycles, which is a more realistic rendering engine. The drawback is that its usually video memory hungry and takes much longer to render. I've avoided using it in the past because my graphics card couldn't handle large scenes, but recently I've learned how to render in multiple passes setting up "render layers" within Blender, and it seems to work well. This page took 25 minutes to render.

I didn't use any AI on this page.

I'm starting to enjoy this work pipeline a lot and will probably stick with Blender Cycles for the foreseeable future. I'll still use AI fore some light retouches, but It will be more sparringly.
