Another long overdue update + rename

The game is still in development, If you don't follow my twitter let me clear a few things up! And hopefully get you excited about what's to come.

-Rename-

I foresaw this coming for a long time, Growlf was a placeholder name. Now the game has been renamed to SEDUCTION.

I think this more of a fitting name.


-The Engine-

After a while of developing, I found the game was starting to show terrible slowdown issues. Some areas of the game were getting as low as 10fps... And I found this unacceptable. So I took a step back, and rewrote a lot of the engine's code, to improve performance and make the game flow a lot better. Dont threat, all the features are still here, scrolling screen how ever is currently removed for the time being, (it caused alot of bugs in game). What has been updated, is the "window" to view the game. thats where alot of my time has been taken up.

-Sex/Abduction -

Sex has been implemented properly (finally). Impregnation as well... Now monsters or you can bare children. Wearing things like lipstick and sexual clothing, will now entice monsters to breed you or get bred by, depending on their dominance level (For example a succubus dick girl... isnt going to let you fuck them without putting up a fight first). Monsters can now surround you can masterbate. Waiting for their turn, and will chain grabs on you. In short. Dont get surrounded. (just like classic roguelike). Condoms and bottles can be filled with cum and drunk, or any other liquid, such as water. Some monsters have a "abduction" flag, and may pull you to their lair. (Example, The anubus jackals love finding a female to help further the development of their race, so if they manage to grab you. You may wake up surrounded by them.). There is also gay scenes and lesbain scenes. Monsters now have a favourate body part to fuck, and have a higher chance of targeting it.


-Character Customization Improvements-

Better tools in place to customize your hero, and alot more races to choose from. All with their qwerks.



-Hud improvements-

I have made some minor improvements to the hud, and removed alot of clutter, that was very unnecessary for a minimalist game...



-Road Map-

If development keeps up at this rate, I should have a preivew 0.01 out real soon (hopefully...) and a road map to introduce the features promised. Since the revision of the engine, I want to slowly bring features back in once I find a comfortable slot to fit them in. But priority one for me is to make it robust, and fun... and if you enjoy sex games. Have it lewd enough.

Features that 0.01 will have:

- Character building, (Levels, training, cock growth potions ect.)

- Combat

- Sex Scenes

- Impregnation/Birth system.

- Children that grow up to be companions.

- Randomly generated worlds, dungeons, caves, villages, forests, deserts, swamps

- Explorable world

- Companions

- Monsters and NPC

- At least 20 unique monsters races

- At least 12 unique civilization races.

- Relationships (such as families, wives, allies and enemies,)

- NPC jobs (Ie. wood cutter, merchant, traveller)

- Some unique story elements, and lore

- Retire/Unretire/Pass Time


Features that will be missing from 0.01 will brought back later in new updates.

Happy New Year! + Update

Happy new years everyone. Hope you have a fantastic year.


Growlf development has been slow, but alot progress has been made in many departments since the last post. I have nothing to show yet, until it is ready for 0.0.1 alpha. I said in the last post it was going to take afew months, but I may have to extend development time, and change the expected release day to "soon". I have to juggle work and game development at the momment so work on growlf is on a "when I can" basis.

Alot of what needs to be done now, is the UI of the game, balance, and sex engine. Then the first version can be made public to all backers, then non backers later on.

Whoa what a journey! + New Payment Method

Hey guys and gals, thank you so much for your monthly payments to the development of Growlf, It has been a long development, and we are drawing close to the first release of the game! Sorry for my lack of blog posting this month, as a lot of what I have been doing is fixing up stuff to make the game more user friendly for the first public download

The game is very close to being ready for download and it is booming with new features, that I will make in another post soon~

New Support Method

As we are drawing very close to the game being ready to play, and all it needs is a few touch ups here and there. The patreon page will no longer be taking monthly payments towards development, instead, I have desided to shift to a more user-friendly way of letting people support the game, via downloadable updates. Your pledges will no longer blindly go towards development, instead your pledges will go towards major updates to the game that you can download. Don't worry all your pledge rewards are still intact, and you will receive them as promised. First time payment will come out when the public alpha is released (0.0.1)!

How long left until we can download and play?

Real soon, I can't give you a proper eta, but I'm aiming for a few months. Then the graphical portion of the game a few months after that. Thanks for being patient!

How many features are going to be in 0.0.1?

A lot of the features promised are going to be absent, and slowly introduced via updates. Everything I have shown or blogged so far is confirmed in game, but a lot of features promised are still in the works, and may need more time in the oven. (Such as mining and building). I aim to get the game in a robust state and work from there with bug fixes and feature filled content updates.

What is in 0.0.1?

At the moment, finding items, fighting monsters, building a character, combat, sex scene generator, leveling, impregnation system, exploring randomly generated worlds, dungeons, caves, NPC looks generator, saving, loading, seed based world generation, limbs, liquids, contaminants, villages, forests, deserts, swamps, mod support, graphics mod support, gaining companions, commanding companions, and quite afew more features.


I cannot stress enough, how thankful I am for the support, and I love that a lot of people share the same dream I have.

Another month, another load of features added!

Special thank you for the continued support, although nothing visual to show off just yet but heres a list of features added this month,

  • Liquids/Contamination/Modding
  • Families, Incest is now possible and NPC's can have siblings.
  • Sound Support.
  • Bug Fixes mainly to the HUD
  • Redesign of The Main UI and Text
  • Introduction of afew new monsters, Naga, Abiel (Bee Person).
  • Sex Engine Improvements
  • Introduction of Structures, This is buildings that are created externally in the map editor, (yes there is a map editor).
  • Introduction of Spawn Tables, For spawning items and spells onto npc's and items.
  • New Entity Flags (Used for apply features on a NPC/Object)
  • New Generation Flags (Used to create worlds)
  • Spelling Errors, Grammar mistakes fixed.
  • Race Relationships, Each race now has a relationship value that ranges from -1000 to 1000. Killing members of a race will lower the reputation, While baring their children, or doing quests for a race, will strengthen the bond. (Not yet implemented fully)
  • Time, Days, Months, Years. Now in game

Next month, I'm aiming for better world generation, and once thats finished we are really close to releasing the first version. Features promised will be added after.

For Next Month (Hopefully)

  • NPC Schedules and Map Waypoints - I want npcs to have schedules based on their job type, this means if they are a woodcutter, they will go cut wood, if they are a shop keeper, they can be found in their shop during the day. If they are a guard they will wander around looking for trouble. Then at night, everyone should return to their home, or designated homed.
  • Better Map Generation - I want villages to be finished by next week, We have forests, deserts, dungeons and caves at the momment. But villages need major improvements, such as wells, inns, shops.
  • Get Ready for a Alpha Release - This means cleaning up messy code and getting it at a payable state
  • Finish off Character Creation Menu - Had to rework this afew times, but its near completion.

More Development - Liquids/Contamination/Modding

Hey guys and gals, Thanks for being patient with updates, as I had to have some time off, due to some personal things in my life. But development is back in action.

Now first off I would like to announce that nearly everything is now modable in the game, in easy to edit txt files;

Its easy to change and create new objects that interact with the game world. A flag system gets your creatures and objects working just the way you want them to, Items are also modable and its easy to give monsters items on spawn with the spawn tables located in their designated folder.

The game will read the TXT files on start up and load them into memory.

New fonts:

More font choices have been added into the game and better rendering. Allowing the use of alpha'd images in the creation of tiles.


Making more improvements to the look menu.


Liquids, (No snapshot yet, nothing visual ready.)

Liquids are nearly complete. This ranges from water, to cum, to breast milk. Each liquid can be splilled on the floor and or collected in a container (Such as a bottle).

Each monster can now produce any liquid on orgasum. So some creatures may have exotic liquids. (Such as a bee monster cumming honey, just a idea on the top of my head).

Liquids will pool on tiles, Liquids can also cover monsters and contaminate limbs and insides.

Liquids can also be owned by someone, (Cow's Milk)

Liquids contaminate limbs, Wading threw water will cover your legs, (and clean them) while say for example during a sex scene, your character cums against a monsters breasts, their breasts will be labed as "Covered in (Playername)'s Cum".

Liquids can be drunk and sold to merchants. Exotic monster cum may be worth alot.

Liquids can be injected into the womb during sex scenes, If a liquid has a (REPRODUCTIVE) flag attached to it, It can impregnate people. [The liquid must be owned for this to happen. So it must be shot from a person or extracted].

Thank you everyone for the continued support over this month of development. If you have been following my twitter you may of saw more frequent updates. But if not, let me list afew things that I have done this month, to both keep you on the edge of your seat, and know that im working hard and your funding is going to a good place.


There has been alot of work on the description window.

Keeping things neat and tidy, Still needs alot of polish but we are getting closer~


New systems ingame that allow NPCs to wear items and clothing, such as weapons and armour.

Wearing sexy amour on yourself (such as latex or skirts) will incease your SEXY stat, that may cause monsters to try to fuck you instead of attack you.

NPC can also use abilities such as a bite (seen above), or spells.

Commanding your folowers. Basic commands are in place such as follow me, wait here, and return to your home (A place you designate as home). As your pets/companions follow you, they will fight for you.

Basic dungeons and caves have been introduced. Traveling down into the dungeons or caves may yeld new monsters and or items.

Also added more modding capabilities.

Such as the abbility to change the font... and well pretty much anything inside the game data folder.


There is alot more bug fixes and more stuff behind the scenes.

(Development Blog) Cave Generation, Companions


Things have been going swimmingly the past week, creating alot of features for the final game, Including cave generation and writing.

Been working on the companion system that allows commanding of creatures/lovers/pets. Issuing commands such as Follow, Wait, Pleasure me and Discipline.

Companions have a Happiness, Loyalty, Fear Level.

Doing things out of their favour will cause their loyality to drop. Happiness will deminish if they are treated poorly. And if your companion is scared of you, they may try to flee from your control.

Will you be a lover, leader or a breeder?

The First Month!~

Thank you so much for the support, this has been the first month since I have opened the GROWLF patreon. Backstories

Backstories are close to being done, this means your characters can have a deep past, or shallow and basic. Each backstory will alter the start location of your character, and the items he or she is carrying.


And more kinky options are available too.
