Drawn Together UNCENSORED

And here it is! Thank you all for being patient with the upload. Enjoy!

3:17 If that's the golden age, I don't want to see when it isn't. I got rid of my TV about around 2010 because I couldn't stand the endless reruns, long ad breaks (seriously, I remember a time when the worst was one 10-minute break, and no show shorter than 50 minutes had any), the mindless reality TV and soaps (German soaps are the worst, I constantly fear I get shanghaied for one … because professional actors can't be that bad … and the writers aren't any better), and be constantly reminded that those are the highlights of the TV program. 3:28 LOST can get lost. I wouldn't even torture the Taliban with it. Maybe if I get lobotomized first. 4:45 I think you gave YT ideas. They had an "experiment" of 11 unskippable ads before the video. And there are mid-roll ads which are over an hour long. For mobile freemium pay to progress games. Only listen to a video because you are busy otherwise? Pay for premium or suffer. ?:?? Why mention YT on this version? 15:46 Rotoscoping didn't completely worked on that one. You can still see the ghost of the mirrored Drawn Together logo. 32:28 There's also a lot of incest in Superman, too. 54:09 And how do you think I feel? Between when I was born and entered school, rotary phones were still the norm (at least for private citizens in Germany). Heck, my high school still used them (they didn't update those to save a penny) . And my mom? She started going to school before people even dreamed of Project Mercury. She entered high school at that time. (Project Mercury was before Project Gemini, which was before the Apollo Program)

Finally came around to watch the video I paid for … (I cancel my subscription just after this)

Love the content! I have a question. Where does someone host uncensored content to embed on Patreon? I thought maybe Vimeo, but they seem to have regulations too, and this video doesn't seem to have the vimeo player on it. I'm looking to start up a Patreon for my own uncensored anime reviews. My other channel about Hentai keeps getting community guideline struck on YouTube.

I've watched the shift from censorship (watching 10 guys get shot on a 70s cop show and they all get up afterwards and dust themselves off) to freedom of expression, and back to censorship. Watching the pendulum scythe back the other way, and knowing that the batshut red herring antics of MAGAts and religious lunatics can't and won't last, is what keeps me from losing my shit! But we have to make sure we don't turn into 1938 Germany before that happens. As a historian looking at epicycles and patterns of behavior, I can attest that that is NOT an exaggeration. Censorship and sociopolitical oppression go together, as censorship is a necessary component of propaganda and control. Russia backed truth pollution flooding social media via conspiracy theories, fear mongering, scapegoating and religious hysteria creates mobs, not disciplined armies, fortunately. But truth pollution is experimental in its current form, and a poor second to information control, like Putin s Russia and Kim Jong UGGGGG in North Korea The use of social media is only now beginning to stabilize enough to see it's true potential, for all people, sides, cultures, and countries. Accurately documenting this technological shift is absolutely essential if we are to benefit from history's lessons. Thank you for all you do, and know that soon these mammalian culls will figure out that by ignoring words, or tormenting their target scapegoats with bigotry, misogyny, or homophobia) will not make them or the issues magically go away. We can't afford to let conservatives crawl back into their caves, pretending that they posses the "One Right True Way" politically or morally, because it kills people-usually the sensitive, creative, empathetic people we desperately need if we want to keep evolving. The alternative is a mass extinction, humans included. I'll be taking notes from now on, you're an outstanding resource! And be of good cheer, in a decade or so,, we'll be able to say "fuck censorship" in social media again. ^^ Thank Geeks for Patreon! This was a fabulous program!

It's so slow. think I have to cancel my subscription

Was super curious about the part you couldn’t talk about on YouTube and immediately came here. YouTube has cracked down so hard on discussing things relating to self harm topics and the other mature stuff shown uncensored here. Even if it’s presented in a way that’s meant to document the topics and educate the viewer in an unbiased way in the video. I know from experience 😅 All that aside though, I remember this show very well. My cousin (who was like 14 at the time) LOVED it. I just kind of observed, but it definitely introduced kid me a to a lot of different… topics lol

Not really :’D I watched some of it bc it was between South Park and The Daily Show and I don’t remember ever laughing at it, just being bewildered. There’s only one episode I remember really enjoying, which is the one where they help Xandir come out to his parents. :’)

Well said!

So YT graciously rec’d this to me today (scenes from this show still live in my mind rent free, unfortunately lmao) and I’m so glad I watched it, it’s a brilliantly done video! I’ve binged your content all day, you’re super talented and clearly picked the right field of work. ☺️ Thanks for helping me get through a very long unpleasant day!

I only watched a little bit of "Drawn Together" when it was on. I think I found that it was a little "much". That said, I much prefer a world where a show like "DT" can be made and people who don't like it can simply not watch it than one where something of its sort is simply "too much to be borne". It's easy, maybe too easy, to point at something like old Warner Bros. cartoons and say, "Of course, we know better now". Regarding the things that never get made because of fears that someone *might* dislike them- or perhaps a fear that someone might *like* them- is a much more difficult price to really contemplate. We aren't any more whole or resilient for insistence that art conform itself to the current mores, and if those old cartoons tell us nothing else, it should be that someone is going to find it offensive, eventually, anyway.

i actually like this show, its dumb and definately a product of its time, i find it funny, and i do agree that the quality does shift, even from episode to episode, i do wish it didnt get canceled, but it should have been either given to new people to run, or the creators should have been given the ulimatum of get your shit together or get the boot, i get the potential issues with advertisers, though i really dont think people associate the commercial break with the show since u see all these same commercials on every damn show anyway, this show for me was the dumb turn of your brain and laugh, it didnt need to make a big point, heck that is probably why spanky was the character used for the "moral" of the story, as an ironic gag, the movie was bad, but parts still did make me laugh, and it wasnt a great end to this show, i do blame the shows downfall on both comedy central screwing over the show, and the creators' lack of creativity toward the end, but it could even be that comedy central's treatment of the show esp with merch and such was the driving force behind the creators lacking at the end, and its ironic really, i've seen more jokes/ content on southpark that i can't stand and find really offensive and in really bad taste, especially on some more recent seasons, esp jokes/ relating to lgbt stuff mainly transgender stuff, and its not the best time to do such kinda joke esp since the tend to re-enforce negative false stereotypes , or out right false propaganda stuff used in actual, legistation that makes life harder for trans people like me, drawn together mocked everything, from the false stereotypes, to the hate and bigotry of people, and yet despite everything, i still have a soft spot for this show. and as for as a continuation, sure, but the show ran its course and probably should stay dead,

Accept it for what it is. I look at it like watching racist cartoons. It’s important to know the steps we took in the wrong direction in our journey to the right direction

scott m

I didn't even know there was a movie till now.

Tamerax

Is drawn together worth checking out?

Freya McCormick

Man YouTube really is way too touchy if anything in this video had to be censored lol Great work as always~

Eric Faries

I do have to argue a point from the end of the video: people were always sensitive to offensive content, they just either didn't have the platform or weren't taken seriously. "Political correctness," has been complained about by people who wish to say and do as they please without consequence since at least the late 80s, if not earlier. Just look at Andrew Dice Clay or Married... With Children.

oh HECK yes
