Red Answers No. 6

Hey guys, I'm working on the next Red Answers! If you have a question to him,  Ray, Lyon or heck, even Muffin at this point, ask away!

Most of the questions I have right now were either already answered in the story, or answering them would be a spoiler, so I would LOVE to get some insightful questions from YOU, beautiful people!

I'm sure Ray had his feelings hurt quite a bit by what Red said. About how Red thought he might cause the apocalypse. And how Red basically thanked him for not killing him, at least that's how Ray interpreted it. He's trying to make sure Red knows he's safe.

Have you noticed that Ray learned to grab gently enough, so he didn't break every bone in Red's body?

And Red is so invested in their conversation he didn't even think about protesting or scolding him for it yet.

Frederick (The Fairy)  MD is ready to go in to help his newfound giant friend. But at what cost?

How much would you sacrifice to keep the people you love safe? No matter how cute Ray is, he's ultimately a gigantic human. His kind doesn't belong under the Barrier. He has to leave to keep everybody safe. Once he'll be all better he can leave, but cannot come back. As it should be.

We wouldn't want poor Raymond staying here against his will, right? Better get him healed up quick! Wich is something little Red can do apparently. I mean...right? So c'mon Ray, sit  in uncle Red's lap and let him work his magic.

Red: Yeah, don't actually do that Ray, I would die.

Ray: It's not Raymond actually it's just Ray.

Ray: I'm just gonna subtly hold my hand under you in case you fall, little Red.

Detective Red has to deduce why the Barrier is acting so strange lately. What is it about Ray that's making him an exception to all established rules?

The touch of the barrier isn't cold, nor hot. It is room temperature. It isn't exactly firm, it does have a slight give to it, almost like a chair with padding on it. When you touch it you feel the sensation of water ever so slightly, but as s...

Ray: I'm not going to tell him...maybe 5 minutes from now. He's in the moment, I don't want to disturb him. He's so gosh darn cute. ...What are these feelings deep inside my heart?

Red: Gigantic fluffy bunnymonsters. *pet-pet* There is a murderous giant human beast like...right next to me, and here I am petting another gigantic monster like it's nothing. You have come  along way, Reddo boi. Fairies aren't wusses, we just need time. Yeah..

Ray has been a very good human. (pet on the head)

Ray: Woof

Now we have all these very cute fluffy bunny rabbits for Ray to look at, and do nothing else with.

Rabbits: Hm, is that a huge, weirdly colored goblin? Let's sniff it from up close!! Nothing could go wrong, since we're under the barrier.

Red, the fairy has made the decision to employ the darkest, most forbidden technique: Deception!

Red: It's not quite like a lie...techniquely. Because you see... it's for the greater good.

In order to lead Ray to the Barrier while minimizing the destruction he causes, Red leads Ray along the main road, a wide path where Ray can't really step on anything. Except for the road itself. The dents and footprints will slow down travel between the smaller towns for a time, but they can be...

Red: Now, I know what this looks like, but trust me, I know what I'm doing. I have  a very convoluted...well thought out sure to suceed plan.

Frog: What is it? Are you trying to second-hand embarass me to death?

Red, take the wheels!

Frog: You talk like THAT about me? I'm like...RIGHT HERE!

Red: Oh, look at the frog. She's RIGHT HERE! Better fix that, don't you think? Muahahahahhahahaha!!!

Ray: O.O

Our little fairy has spent a fine amount of time thinking about what he could do. But in the end, he could only think of one option, to commit necromancy!! OH!!

Wich is something he is completely capable of, just watch! I mean, don't, because you'll all die, if you ...

Although the majority of Nymphs do live in Malna city -Home to Red and Lyon- a lot of families and smaller groups do decide to live independently from the capital. They  have a variety of reasons doing this. Some believe although the city is fortified, the great number of citizens in it has a greater chance to attract the attention of predators. They believe a smaller group has a greater chance to survive.

Some simply want to be free of the influence of the political leaders, since these ...

Ray: How long have you been here, listening?

Red: Long enough to blackmail you.

Ray: You know...under that sharade of a 'shy, naive cute little fairy' You're  a piece of shit.

Red: I know.

Ray:  What is this all of a sudden? What's with the attitude?

And you don't hurt my feelings by saying I'm slow. Youre as quick as a fly.

It's a Christmas miracle! Red is alive...or is he? Is that juts Red's ghost coming back from the afterlife to haunt Ray for the rest of his days?

If that is Red, how did he manage to escape the terrifying humans' clutches? Find out NEXT TIME on Forest of Tides!!

Also, do you think this scare will finally teach Ray that he is more powerful than he realizes? I mean look at those blades of grass in his hand. That's what would have happened to Red if Ray got him.

Ray: See Red? Nothing to worry about. I know you were scared of the frog, but now it's all better. :) Right, Red? ... Red?

Red: Muffled noises.

Ray: Oh, ok.

Hm, Ray didn't take any chances he got everything down there. :/

Red: I'm too cute to die! Evacuate! Cutes and children first! My uniform will be SO grass stained after this! Uh, good job Red, priorities! Come on Red, think straight, just get away as fast as you can!!

Red: O.O I should have thought the consequences of my snarky sass throooooooouuuuuuuuugh!

Ray: No! No! No! Why me!?

You know, we only know Red from when he was terrified for his life. All we see is an innocent little cute scared fairy. We never thought of the possibility, that he is an inconsiderate asshole otherwise.

Or he's completely nice, he's just losing his patience with Ray here.

How to console a petrified giant? Uh? I uh... reassure them, tell them you don't think they are pussies, uh...what else? Lie something, like that their fear is unreasonable. I don't know, I've never done this before. Humans don't have anything to be afraid of...if I was as big as Ray, I could protect everybody! I could be confident all the time, never worry about my safety. I would never have to be afraid of being eaten out of the blue... being able to command the strenght of a human...that sort...

'A lot of beasts of legend could be regarded as ordinary animals. Huge beings causing destruction and peril just by existing... This does not apply to humans. They aren't just simple creatures, sharing the struggles of life with us, only on a different scale. They are monsters. In the rawest sense of the word. They are said to be the result of unnatural magic, they are the evil born from one's heart who goes against the will of the Spirits. From their creation to their eventual destruction the o...

What terrible, unthinkable torture is this MONSTER making precious little Red go through?

Well, he is tasked with removing a frog from a path. The frog doesn't seem very cooperative. Will Red be able to save the entire forest by freeing the humans way to the world outside? If he fails... the human might murder everybody!! Go little Red, save them!

While on the search for Red, Lyon has discovered a clearing where the giant human monster has stopped. Presumably for a long time. Above, an unfortunate spider is working on rebuilding her precious hunting tool. A spiderweb, something escaped, or...was ripped out of there. What could it be? Also, cue flashback. OOOOOOOh!!!

Muffin and Lyon are following the footprints of this horrible mythical monster, meanwhile trying to find Red, the fairy. There is a possibility that the monster already got Red, and ate him! We might never know what has happened but for now, the two friends are cautiously optimistic that the young scout will be found alive and well, however tiny the chance might be.

Lyon seems to have some sort of grudge against humans.... I wonder why that is? I mean they just threaten the lives of everyone h...

Meanwhile, thousand of miles away!

You know how scared Ray was on the latest page, seeing that frog?

He thinks he's having it bad now, but wait, until he's confronted by his greatest enemy yet! Lyon is very good at reading Ray's treks, he has years of experience. Most people would just walk past those footprints, not thinking anything of them, but not Lyon, nah-ah. He. is. on. the. case.

You know, all those mammoths, and rhinos...that exist, oh, look mushrooms!

Hm, it's not the ice age anymore, how can mammoths still be around? What did cause the extinction of mammoths again? Climate change and overhunting by humans? One of those must be missing in in this timeline. Meh, we might never know.

Red: This leaf shall protect me for generations to come!

Ray: I can't hear that. Where are you? Don't leave, me, you're the only friend I've ever had!

Red: I know you're a human and all, meaning you want to kill everyone on sight. Naturally. But please don't do it just this once!

Umph...that must have hurt...

Ray was a bit too agressive because of his hunger. The goblins did try to take his food away as far as he understood. Did he get what he deserved?

You might notice there's a language barrier here. Ray actually doesn't speak English. The only reason Red ( and by extention, the audience) can understand him, is because Red is a fairy, so he does have the ability to emphathize and understand a wide variety of creatures, including most animals ( excluding insects...
