Weekly Update: March 8th, 2022

Hey folks! Staying busy on my end, trying to get some projects off the ground for March. Unfortunately, I had to (once again) delay the Caleb and Sophia video. Scheduling both that video and the 4Kids video within the same month was way too much for me so we're gonna just focus on the 4Kids video for now. For this week though, I got a short video essay coming out about the aggressive growth of CoCoMelon and how it was able to conquer YouTube within 3 years. In all honesty, it was a fun topic to research and I was surprised by the origin of the channel. Should be a good upload!

Unfortunately, my last upload got age-restricted so I'm somewhat apprehensive about reviewing Interspecies Reviewers. If Ebichu got hit, then there's a very good chance Interspecies will too but I might just go for it anyway. I'll think of something! That or just censor EVERYTHING lol

The last upload rounding up the month is "What RUINED 4Kids?" which is coming along nicely! Got a fun intro skit planned for that video that might feature a notable YouTuber who has dunked on 4Kids in the past with his own content. That's it for now! Hope everyone has an excellent week, talk to y'all soon!

I figured that the Cocomelon-related community posts on your YouTube channel were heavily implying that it was going to be the next topic that you would cover, and sure enough, it's coming our way soon. It's amazing how it has become a force to be reckoned with on YouTube. It should be neat to hear your thoughts about it...after all, it can't be any worse than Wolfoo, right? ...right? Anyway, I am especially psyched to see the What RUINED 4Kids video, as it will surely resonate with anyone who watched any of 4Kids' shows back in the day. The fact that you even have someone doing a guest spot in the intro for the video is particularly neat, plus-if all goes according to plan-we might see this video go live shortly after the release of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which is fitting since Kirby: Right Back at Ya was one of the many shows that 4Kids was involved with. Whenever it comes our way, I'll be sure to give it a look see! And yeah...I think you've made the right call by pushing the Caleb and Sophia video back yet again. I'm sure that trying to post two videos of such a ginormous magnitude in one month might be a bit too much for you to handle. That, and I know for a fact that you would prefer to wait until you're sure it's good to go before you share it with us fans. At any rate, know that I will continue to wait patiently for the Caleb and Sophia video to come our way, however long it takes. Unlike some of your other viewers, I'll never pester you about when the video is coming...it will come when it's ready-and not a moment sooner-and that's all there is to it. I understand this...I just wish everyone would understand it, too. Finally, I did notice that the Ebichu video ended up getting age-restricted, which is quite unfortunate (though at least YouTube didn't flat out remove the video). As such-and as much as it pains me to say it-you may want to hold off on covering more spicy stuff for a little while. I mean, if you want to cover Interspecies Reviewers and/or anything else that could be considered super spicy, I will leave that decision up to you. If nothing else, you could tackle smaller, simpler topics until the 4Kids video is ready (I imagine that, at the very least, you're planning on reviewing Turning Red after it hits Disney+ later this week). Again, I'll leave it up to you to decide what to do with your channel in between the Cocomelon and 4Kids videos...I'll still look forward to whatever videos you do decide to share with us, even if there's even a tiny chance that YouTube will try to screw you over because they're YouTube. I'll see you around real soon, Saber...keep on keeping on! =)

I'd like to see your take on those creepy pregnancy themed videos on YouTube kids. last week, I saw one that was a male-preg video about the Miraculous Ladybug characters (which I should mention are canonically only 13-15 years old). The method of animation they used was very clever (it was similar to the paper cut out stop motion method used on the first few South Park shorts, but with people using tweezers to help the characters move around) but it's unfortunate that they used it to plot that is plain messed up. Sometimes, people will use dolls to make those videos like the one I saw about Moana giving birth to Maui's baby (even though Moana is also just a teenager, Maui is much older, and neither of them had a romantic relationship in the official movie.) This is stuff our toddler aged children have access to watching on their tablets or other devices. YouTube Kids does not seem to properly moderate what content is accepted in through their system.
