So this time I wanted to try out "clean" linework. The result isn't exactly what I was hoping for, however, I think I'm going in the right direction, but I'll save it for my next crack at it. I have to finish this one SOMEday, after all...
Pretty much the first order of business was to SUPERSIZE the thumbnail I'd selected.

Not only will the higher resolution help with fine details, it'll bloat the file size AND make it look good if you ever want to print it out. Additionally, there's a bit more room for small blemishes, since they'll be lost in translation when downsizing to shareable resolutions.

The final sketch had all the details I absolutely knew I wanted to include. It's still a bit visible underneath the lines, if only for a little extra guidance with coloring and shading the tiles. But once it's outlived its usefulness, it'll be relegated to the bottom of the layer pile.
