Wet Nightmares - 3.4 A cold lonely night

The cold night just got a little warmer, hello everyone! Thank you for your patience with us while we were preparing the next build of Wet Nightmares, on a personal note I had my first child during that time so the extended break was truly needed. Anyways onto the main event!

After our first release of Wet Nightmares, we had a lot of feedback, both from the demo and the main build. As a result, this patch was focused on a few things, the first is a major rewrite of the first chapter - and consequently the second and third chapters. The rewrite focused on easing players into the main character, giving more context for his personality and extended conversations with Samara. The second thing was to fill in the blanks of our first chapter, lots of missing CG’s and drawings for the elaboration of text, and to overall increase the quality of the production. Third, we wanted to take this time to introduce the player to our choice system, the UI will be adjusted as we get deeper into production but as of this build you can change the direction of the story, in later patches, those choices will push you towards one of several possible endings.

Changelog version 3.4

New:

• Branching story paths: Several beats in chapter 1 now offer branching dialogue pathways.
• Several new CG’s: These are simple sketches, for now, more of a presentation of what's to come.
• Options menu: The options menu has returned, we have one major bug with the page, the audio sliders default to zero, simply change them back to the desired levels and you’re good to go. It will be fixed in a future patch.

Changes:

• Chapter 1 rewrite: The main story continues along, but the road is different. Start a new game and enjoy the new perspective!
• English Copy complete: Chapter 1 has had a complete English overhaul, from Spanish to English, then to fluent English. Just as we wanted!
• Several bug fixes and saves setups: Enjoy a smoother ride!

Known Bugs - to be fixed in the following patch:

• Options menu audio sliders: The first time you visit the options menu the sliders will revert to zero. Setting new levels will be fine going forward.
