Friday Post #48 - December time!

Congratulations humans, you did it, you passed the tutorial that is 2021 and now we can play the game. In all honesty 2021 was a crazy year for us, but we have one more month left and hopefully some very good news to come out of it!

Sapphire Safari
The last week was spent mostly releasing the v0.0.3 build, this build was focused on refining the cuddle systems in the game along with getting a few other features like controller support and UI working. The team is taking a break in December though to focus on building some new face tech (automatic lipsync, eye fidget, blinking) for use in Sapphire and future games so if we see a patch in December it will be a small one.

Elewder
The big post-release patch dropped last week, and we spent some time looking over the feedback that was given as a result. So we have already made changes to how the finisher minigame is presented, and how input feels. After that, we started the work on implementing new minion effects for changing up the combat mechanics. We aim to have the Egyptian-themed area done first. In terms of OST, we are just about done composing the boss themes which we will use as a guide for building the other music elements (gameplay, exploration, etc) in those themed nodes as well.

Under Contract
The UI replacement is now underway, along with finally building the save system into the game so no longer do tests need to sit through each cutscene in the game before we can get to the gameplay. Once we have the UI pushed into the product we should be ready for a soft release here and perhaps on Itch as well. Only time will tell!

Wet Nightmares
Chapter one has been fully re-written and is now receiving copy work. I doubt we can get the patch out in November, so expect it sometime in early December for sure. All team members are hard at work getting the full narrative experience put together along with fixing the requested patches since the last build. We hope to get it to you all soon!
