Hey all, here's a Shirtless Ken for ya. KEN MASTERS is one of my go-to drawing warmups. Haven't gone HARD on the drawing yet in 2019-- been mostly developing stuff like Sharknife Expose, my Card Game ("Reyyy Fighter") and some T-shirts! I'll talk a bit more about those last 2 things, but first

Here's a couple behind the scenes looks at this drawing:

The colors. I LOVE how the old Alpha games matched the Shoto character's GLOVES with their HAIR. It was probably a "limited memory" palette thing, but I love it. For this one I also did some subtle gradients on his skin tone and yellow parts. I also colored some parts of the lineart to give it a more subtle feel.

Here's the lineart by itself! The background is me just going nuts. These days I don't toil over Backgrounds much, unless they are the focus of the piece. These days I tend to make backgrounds be more "notions" of areas / shapes-- as our own human eye would do for a photograph, etc.

CARD GAME: Yeah, I'm developing one. I have some pictures SOMEWHERE but I can't be bothered right now to dig them up. I've actually been working on it for something like 5 years now, on the backburner. The short of it is: It's a ONE DECK card game that two people can play. You only need the one deck. It plays like a mix of Magic, Pokemon, Stratego and Three Card Monte. More updates on that later.

T-SHIRTS: I am teaming up with a local shirt company to make some shirts!!! I do designs, they will print and ship them.
