Added 2025-10-15 12:22:59 +0000 UTCThe method of doing highlights and finishing touches is called dry brushing - you dip your brush into unthinned paint and wipe it off until the brush is only barely sticky, and gently dust the miniatures to get a very subtle layer of faint paint. It also makes a lovely sound I find relaxing.

Yes, exactly! I love listening to the people I care about work on things that they're focused/content/passionate about. For my mom it had been painting. For my dad it had been typing. For my partner it had been playing piano. My partner would get self conscious if they knew I was listening though. I didn't really care what it sounded like β I just cared that it was them, yanno?
