Added 2025-06-23 12:07:00 +0000 UTCAll the way until the 3rd panel, this is roughly how it happened, though the magpie was also surrounded by three other magpies (who were also yelling) who fled before we got close. But it would've been funny if it had been a bird ruse to steal an unlocked car.

That probably means it was a youngster who had learned to fly and feed themself but was still begging the parents for food. I've seen so many posts of juvenile birds sitting ON the bird feeder, asking to be fed.
