Progress Report: Not Hotfix Yet, Skill Tree Planning Progress, Tons of New Items, Music Update, Other Info.

 

Hey everyone! 

I thought I would provide a  mini-progress report to show you guys what I've been up to in the midst  of trying to fix the REPAIR verb and the new Durability feature. Since  those are essentially holding up the game's hotfix, I've been working on  other things in the meantime. One is the Skill Tree which I've been  doing while I lie down at night for sleep, and the other (the clothing  remaster and new additions) I've been doing during breaks from the two  issues listed above as well as trying to figure out the new Character  Creator. These are all very long tedious processes that take a lot of  time, but are also things that once finished I won't have to mess with  ever again. Woo!

Tons of New Items:
I've added a bunch of new clothing items---
Dark Green Headband: +1 Resist, +1 Sympathy.
Red Horned Headband: +1 Strength, +1 Sarcasm.
Skull Dorag: +1 Max Carry, +1 Sarcasm.
Rainbow Dorag: +1 Agility, +1 Serious.

I've  also completely remastered and streamlined all the following  descriptions, stats, wear descriptions and take/drop descriptions for  all items in the categories: Weapons, Head, Hand, Wrist, Feet, Finger,  Neck, Earlobe, Upper Ear, Nose, Tongue, Eyebrow, Lip, Secondary Mouth  Slot(s) items for the new Player Description. I'm also more than  half-way through the Torso items as well.

I have Navel, Nipple,  Genital and Back left --- then I'll move onto Torso again, Pelvis and  Outer Torso and the clothing remaster and new player description will be  completed with all races and transformations included.

Skill Tree Planning Progress:
As  I mentioned before, I'm working on a sort of Skill Tree for the game's  combat system while I lie in bed at night, but it's only in the planning  stages at the moment. I won't be implementing it until all of the  game's remasters are done; all items, Rold, Aaleahya and the Laboratory.  As I explained before with the clothing currently getting remastered  and near completion that leaves very little to do with the items just a  lot of misc items and the body growth/shrink ones ^_^ Hurrah! Anyway,  the Skill Tree is below, the italicised number next to the Tier  explanations are roughly where I want the stats to be for those  particular tier. For example, if you get 20 strength, you can choose  from one of the three choices in Tier 1 Strength. If you get 40  Strength, you can choose one choice from any of the Tier 2 Strength. I  hope you guys like what's there so far.

Also, if you see blank Tier 3's -- those are ones I haven't gotten to yet.

Music Update:
So I got a few samples of title music from one particular artist, but  after sharing them on Skype and with the family, they all agreed that  this particular artist wasn't right for the game. I have found another  though and we'll begun talking about what I'm looking for in the title  music and the right sound for the game. If it works out, I'll be getting  more music from this new studio at different sections. Maybe even some  ambience as well. ^_^ That should help with immersion and emotional  connection to the writing and the game's world. 

Other:
I've  also been talking with someone about turning the game into an Android  App but I can't afford it at the game's current income, but if it ever  makes a little bit more, I can take about $60-100 a month create the App  and then have it continuiously updated along with the rest of the game  for releases :) Hurrah!
