Working memory

And once I put something down, no matter how visibly it is in my line of sight, there's no guarantee I'll see it or remember to pick it back up again.

My sister is like this. She carries around a notebook with everything she is thinking about. If she doesn’t have the notebook she can forget about a conversation the moment you leave her line of sight

2023-05-16 21:38:22 +0000 UTCI have a mind like Swiss cheese and zero memory retention. I found the act of physically writing down the things I need to do helps me remember it more than typing a reminder on my phone. Without my day timer, calendar and lists, I would be doomed.
