Comic page re-draw
Added 2022-03-26 07:51:42 +0000 UTCI'm finished with the physical pages of the first chapter of A Friend of Caesar! I drew the pages in a reverse order, and my plan from the start was to re-draw the page I started with once I'm done to see if I've made any progress in art style.
The pages aren't really that dramatically different - I think the first try was better in a lot of ways, I was already fighting burnout at the end of the process and whatever improvement I had made by experience was undone by exhaustion - but I figured it would be fun to compare the two anyway.

I like the more detailed style of the second image, except I think the perspective in panels 4 and 5 is better on the first page

2022-03-29 23:57:11 +0000 UTCThe second image is the newer version? I'm drawn to the first one a bit more too as it feels gentler to me somehow, not just the lower contrast but also the style. But i guess it depends on what you're aiming for. :) I really can't wait to read more!
