A collection of unrelated comics

I was browsing through my art files for something else, and scattered through were a bunch of old comics not related to foxes, that I thought you might enjoy:

1. A comic about non-romantic love, that started when the words of the last panel emerged into my head and made me tear up. When a random sentence emerges and makes me tear up, I'm pretty sure it'll make a good comic.

2. A depiction of a brief but vivid dream I once had. There were other parts of the dream, something on the other side of this forest, but I can't remember it anymore.

3. My illustration of how it feels to be on ADHD-medication! Antidepressants probably have the same effect on people who need them (I never benefited from them), so I guess it's a comic about getting the right meds, in general.

4. This was a brief gag. I have nothing but love for chihuahuas, I admire their uncompromising nature. And also there are definitely chihuahuas in Valhalla, if there is one.

5. A comic based on quick dialogue. Much of my stories is inspired by strips of dialogue, which is why I suppose I'm better with drawing comics than trying to write a book, because in books you have to write out everything, not just the dialogue.

6. More dialogue, this time a scene from a sci-fi comic I never got around to writing - the villain of the story, an alien queen, has captured a human man to advise her about human matters in order to catch the protagonists more easily. While she never returns them, he develops feelings for her.

7. Art is hard.

Feel free to share!

Are these comics also available outside Patreon? I'd love to share some of them with friends, but don't want to if they're meant to be exclusive.

The dark fox is really powerful!

That is a stunningly good comic on ADHD.

These are wonderful. The Love one made me tear up too. (Oh, and as someone who has only ever had chihuahuas as pets, yup - there are plenty in Valahlla. :))

Frankly reading the ghost cats had serious deja vu like I'd dreamed it too and forgotten it. Delightful.

Oh my heart! The love one made me tear up, too. And the meds one is so accurate!

Love these!

These are beautiful! I especially love the one about parental love, the one about the grey hair, and the one about getting the right meds.

That ADHD comic is really good. I don't have ADHD, but from the way I've heard people with it talk about it, I think they'd really relate. As far as it being more generally relatable to finding the right meds, I don't know. I take them for depression and anxiety, and there is a little bit of relatability for me, but not anywhere near the level I think others with ADHD would have. But not everyone taking meds for those conditions is the same either, so some of them might also find it really relatable!

I can share one thing that helped me the most: If you really, REALLY can't draw something right, find three photographs of the thing - or take ones yourself - and trace the pictures (either on paper or digitally). Use the traced outline as your sketch, draw proper lineart on it and shade the 3 pictures. Once you've done that, you now have a basic grasp of how to draw the thing, no matter what it is, and you're now able to draw a 4th one on your own!

I love these so much. I am a new artist and I'm teaching myself to draw. I keep telling myself this is difficult and I will get better with practice. Your comics and your art are such an inspiration to me. They bring me that little bit of joy everyday I see them and I truly thank you for that. Never stop. ❤️
