September2025 HP Poll

Hey guys and gals.  I have to think at least a few of you are gals, anyway… they can’t all be creations of the internet and AI... right?

*Ahem.*  Moving on.

Bhaalson Remodel is proceeding apace.  I should have it finished and off to the editor by Tuesday or Wednesday.  Thankfully that might include having it Grammarlied, as there are only a few spoken Khalid parts to the chapter, so there won’t be so many damn false positives it makes me want to cry.  Essentially at this point there's an overview of the major battle, a few blurbs to show the human side of everything, and then

I also have Death’s Avenger back.  Thanks go to Alex Crate for looking it over for me.  I will be going over that tomorrow morning and posting it either in the afternoon or that night.

However, looking ahead, I wanted to get the HP poll up for September, since, if FILFy wins, I will want to go forward with it right away.   Yes, you heard that right. FILFy is returning to the HP poll.

If it wins in September, I will remove the HP poll every other month from then on until it is finished.  I have found several decent DxD fics to power my muse if I husband them well enough, not least of which is Primordial Vortex’s Big Tiddy Girlfriend fic (I swear I will start to leave some reviews on your fics sometime soon, man, promise… shifty eyes…) and pushing to finish that fic by February in 2026 would be really nice, given how many other fics I have both ongoing and waiting in the wings.

On the other hand, if it doesn’t win, then it will just join the rotation.

Without further ado, here are the three choices for the HP poll in September:

A Fate Touched in Middle Earth – HP/Tolkien crossover:  While in the west, Aragorn starts his journey away from the welcoming halls of Elrond, starting a journey that will last longer than the lifetimes of normal men, Fili and Balin lead their troops into the first of what will hopefully be several battles against the goblins, proving that dwarven ingenuity and prior planning can overcome goblin numbers and hate. Following a march to the east dwarfish style, Harry finds himself facing the Easterlings again in combat while also finding more evidence of the darkness that has infested their society. Thorin leads his army in a series of battles to defend the lands of the Blacklock House, never realizing the larger trap that is but part of the enemy’s grand plan. Soon, evidence of his concerns being all too close to the truth are found, and Harry breaks off from the Stonefist’s sole remaining field army to race to his friend’s aid.  Leagues pass by as the war continues on without him for a time, with Thorin breaking out new tactics and weapons to offset defeat while a greater disaster to loom, unseen.

Magic of the Force – HP/SW crossover: The Tyrant’s Bane arrives at it’s next destination, where Harry looks forward to meetings galore and watching Padme put a princess in her place, his thoughts on that score soured by recent visions of the future that need to occur.  Padme however does not disappoint, and after tending to her senatorial reasons for being on this planet, has a very barbed heart to heart talk with Ta’a Chume wherein the princess hears the No word strongly enough to get the idea.  Agreements are still reached, however, while elsewhere, Zule and Harry have a romantic moment, before Aayla, after her own romantic moment, and Zule leave the Tyrant’s Bane for parts unknown. As Harry deals with a sudden, and quite important impromptu meeting of his own, though, elsewhere, the war is heating up still further on the Corellian Front as Dominus takes direct command of the Grand Fleet, creating immediate impact. Even as that starts to go right for Dominus, though, in the Core, a hidden dagger strikes at the heart of the Sith’s long term plans, leading to a war on a planet touched by the Dark Side.

FILFy Teacher – HP/Highschool DxD: Harry and the ancient Pharoah and god-to-e face off in a battle of wits and magic while Yasaka and Nefertiti battle it out alongside their menfolk.  This battle adds to the overall reverberations rocking the entire pocket dimension of Tartarus, with Vali Lucifer forced to battle Maou Lucifer while their companions are swiftly embroiled in their own battles, the sounds of which are drowned out by the clash between the two Super Devils.  One fight not to be outdone in viciousness if nothing else occurs between the original hound of Ireland and the group of hero descendants led by Cao Cao.  Yubelluna leads Koneko, Loup and Kiba against the rest of Cao-Cao’s people in the only battle occurring within the prison complex that can truly be called a team on team effort.  Unused to her new abilities and powers, Nefertiti finds herself overcome by Yasaka, while the Pharoh’s vast repertoire makes him hard for Harry to handle, but his attempts to play mind games backfires badly.  Eventually, the contest ascends from magical duel to a battle of will, with only one man walking away.

I will not be voting in this poll. Instead, I will probably be voting in the Ranma poll.  And given how long it’s been since FILFy was updated, I won’t be putting in the carryover effect either.  Let’s start it from scratch, folks, just like I did to the Ranma poll for August.  Which I will close next Tuesday regardless of if Bhaalson Remodel is finished.

This poll will end on the Third of September.

i'd love to hear more about the other decent dxd fic's you found that are helping the muse always looking for more to read

I am equally excited for all 3 chapters, so this is a win/win/win! I will be backing the Muse in DxD, before it gets blindsided by Primordial's new Solo Leveling kick. Damn myself for not being able to unlock Captain rank so I can actually read it... Seriously though, Fate and Magic are two of my favorite fics of all time, and who can ever say no to a climactic final battle?
