This week we talk about transitioning your “game sense” to the next level. We are going to transition those looking to progress to higher ranks with these tips and topics! We want to help you get a good understanding of those things after the basics.

Improving Game Sense:

Basics:

(Just because these are basic, doesn’t mean good players have them down!)
These are actually a LOT for the normal playerbase
Knowing all abilities and their relative cooldowns.
Knowing relative damage numbers for abilities and normal attacks.
Knowledge of all sound Q’s for abilities for every hero.
Deep knowledge of all the maps and zones that heroes can abuse.
Hero Death, flank and count tracking. (Kill FEED)
Ultimate tracking. (This extends into advanced as well)

Advanced Techniques:

The Daredevil tracking:

Use sound queues to track things even while out of your line of sight.

Create a mental map of the zone you are approaching.
Listen for abilities to know when to push/dive or even use your own cd’s.
Win 1v1’s through sound.
Escaping getting dove by positioning & understanding enemy movements

Nostradamus Predictions:

Become a prophet by internalizing ability cooldowns and ult tracking properly.

See abilities before the enemy knows they want to use them.
Bait out cooldowns.
Have counters ready

The Spidey-Sense:

Predicting/Anticipating when enemies are going to do something.

Noticing abnormalities in movement/approaches
Checking ultimates used vs unused & how close you are to an OT moment
Check hero counts/missing heroes. Track returning heroes.
Monitoring the heroes that are just better than the rest, anticipate them

Reach Ultra Instinct:

Internalize all of the above to the point of doing it without thinking.
Create a pleasant atmosphere where your mind can be at peace.
Feed yourself well, get some rest and train with disciple constantly.
