Raiders of Moonfall: Temple of the Foxgirls
Added 2024-12-08 02:44:01 +0000 UTCHere it is!
This one was a little tough to write, and I didn't manage to do quite what I'd planned, but it still turned out pretty well.
Enjoy the latest installment! And get ready to vote, because we're gonna have the next encounter's vote in a few days time. Until then, enjoy!

Ah, I think I can see what you mean. The foxgirl politics and route splitting could have been a lot to handle. Again, it doesn't detract from what we have, which is pretty good. Getting overly ambitious or losing control of a project seems to be a pretty common pitfall, if it's any consolation. At least, judging from some of the writing advice I've seen and my brain's pathological need to try and expand or dramatize every simple little project I try to come up with ^_^;

And as for falling short, I had some other ideas and could have done more thematic with the fox-girl temple, but the ideas didn't mesh together well enough. It turned out okay, but my ambitions overshot things a little again, so while I'm happy with how it turned out, I know I could have done more for it.

2024-12-09 16:23:11 +0000 UTCI'm curious about the creative process behind this chapter and how you feel it fell short in some way. Though, I suspect most writers consider the version of any given scene better in their heads and notes than text. Or at least find it hard to turn those flowing ideas into actual paragraphs. In any case, it definitely turned out well. A couple of foreshadowed surprises (Damn you, Sada, I liked you better as a Drow!) and some intriguing food for thought on the nature of the goddess and what might lay in her prison. Also the mental image of a council of monster girls deciding that the werewolf MUST be fucked tickles my funny bone. Oh, and I don't meant to be an editing pest, but there was a typo that jumped out. “Yes, Mother,” Saria squeaks, jolting to her feet and beaming. -Given that it's Aria
