There’s 7 billion people on Earth, people go missing all the time! When this pandemic arrived, sure the numbers of missing people rose. However, it was not enough for people to notice and definitely not enough for people to track the cause.
The cause of this pandemic? An unexplained force was transforming people across the globe into things near them with no pattern or reason. The transformations seemingly occurred only when nobody would notice, leaving potentially thousands of people trapped as objects with no trace.
