I used to see these on the road in Ireland in the late 90's early 00's often enough. I've been in one once, super comfy but so weird.... They have always confused and challenged me in the best possible way. It's a weird car for weirdos. 🤌 And I love it for that.

2026-03-05 23:06:02 +0000 UTCMy understanding is that there is a maximum speed that Diesel fuel combusts. Beyond about 4000 rpm, the burn lags the movement of the pistons. Pretty hard to over rev a Diesel without a really hostile downshift.
