I used to see these on the road in Ireland in the late 90's early 00's often enough. I've been in one once, super comfy but so weird.... They have always confused and challenged me in the best possible way.
It's a weird car for weirdos. 🤌 And I love it for that.

I know Tony had his eyes on a Multipla for YEARS. So glad he was able to end up with it. Not the worst price either for such a rare car ( in the US).

You know what other Honda had a dash shifter? The 1969-72 Honda N600!

Not gonna lie, if you and Veronica came down to Virginia for Fursonacon, I'd totally be willing to drive y'all around in my Stagea. It's got the dual sunroofs too!

You people remind me of how it is hanging with my own friends. Inappropriate sexual noises, comments... Talking smack the local scenery, busting each other's "balls"... Fart noise songs. I'm in NNY which is mostly indistinguishable from Pennsylvania since I can get to the border in a few hours. Sorry if my punctuation is wicked bad Brian. I know you're an ex-educator. "One of them smart readin' gays!" (Drunken out of touch boomer voice). Reminds me that while we're vastly different people, we're all kinda the same. Tell the Roman hello. Thanks for the ride.

Is that why there's Mercedes diesels revving to 6000?

The location of that shifter makes me miss my friends Civic Si.

My understanding is that there is a maximum speed that Diesel fuel combusts. Beyond about 4000 rpm, the burn lags the movement of the pistons. Pretty hard to over rev a Diesel without a really hostile downshift.

It looks like a Dodge Neon being humped by a slug. I like it.
