2024-10-31 06:32:05 +0000 UTCalso: FUN FACTS: JJK has a lot of buddhism imagery and references. in Toji episodes it's especially on point. when Gojo points to the sky and the earth below him and says "Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the Honored One", that is quite literally the line that the Buddha is said to have said when he was born. Also, the hour that they return to jujutsu tech was 1500, 3PM. this, in zodiac hours... is the Hour of the Monkey. :) Toji calls himself a "monkey" and is, quite literally in his role here, basically the Sun Wukong (the Monkey King) of the story here to fight Heaven and loses to the Buddha. There's even pillars where they fight a la the story of the fight between the Buddha and Sun Wukong--I suggest looking it up, it's a nifty story (also Sun Wukong's not killed but he is buried under a mountain for his transgression against Heaven). /JAZZ HANDS IN METAPHORS
