Background

Governor Ezra Astallon is a man of obscene wealth. Most assume it is old money, the kind that only exists through noble lineage and inheritance. However certain members of the upper houses whisper that his title is bought and the money ill gotten, although this tends to reek of little more than jealousy. Ezra is well favoured by the Dorran family, and was recently given the role of Governor by the new Emperor herself. Opportunities that many would kill for seem to just fall into his lap.

Certainly Astallon is friendly with numerous members of the lower classes, some of whom may be less than perfectly law abiding, but he is a vivacious and gregarious fellow, overtly friendly with everyone. In particular he is well known among the city’s bards and performers as Astallon loves to share his wealth, putting on regular private shows in the grand ballroom he built within his own estate. The performances are always of the highest calibre, and the after parties legendary. No one who receives an invite turns it down.
