Ep1 Progress Report #7

Hi.

Work is moving forward. I am finishing rendering path "C" which will have 92 images. I am writing and posing path "B". As of today, I have 40 ready to render scenes.

Now, a few words about what awaits me when I finish working on the "B" path.

So:

- I still have to pose and render both ladies for the galleries. I have not yet decided how many images in total each gallery will have and how many images I will make available for unlocking in this part of episode 1 (minimum 5 img for each gallery).

- code the galleries. Check if there are problems with unlocking each image (point & click system)

- I have to check each of the renders and make corrections if necessary, and as a result I may have to re-render some of the images

- finish the translation of scene 2 and send it to the proofreader. Within days, I should get back from the proofread scene 1 text. And here I am, moving to the next point.

- type the whole thing into the Renpy, input the conditions and test it. Here I will have much more work in terms of testing and searching if there are any logical errors.

- while I have the "script" work almost out of the way, I need to add variables with some or maybe all the choices in which the MC will earn points (+ or -) with a given LI.  In other words, I will have to balance the game. I don't want to create significant differences in the points earned by the MC right at the beginning when choosing a particular path.

There will be time for that later. The 3 paths are meant to complement each other and reveal some details from different perspectives. So there's a lot of coding ahead of me and verifying if I haven't screwed something up.

Now I'm going to move the perspective a little away and say what the 2nd,3rd, and maybe the 4th part of episode #1 may have.

Part 1 covers one full day, so to speak. From the MC's arrival in the new city to the events of the following day, let's say, until noon.

Part 2 will perhaps cover the entire weekend. (When I start writing up the events in this part, I will be able to say more about it).

Part 3 will cover events after the weekend (first day at new job, etc.).

Why am I breaking it down like this?

Because I want to highlight for those who can't wait to see more of Amanda that she will appear at the end of part 3. (MC will make the call 5–6 days after the last meeting with Amanda, and only if Amanda's path is open.)

Don't panic. This is so far only an outline of what I am planning. It can still change. Part 2 of episode #1 is a good example of this. Now I know that I have to change some things in this part to what I had planned a long time ago.

I don't think I'm going to write another report, because I wrote everything out in this one. Maybe I'll post a little update on discord. It depends on how much work I can get done in the coming week.
