2025-11-11 19:11:19 +0000 UTCThe Sopranos ending has been befuddling for decades at this point but the theory that the camera angles show he died always seemed the most compelling to me. The theory is that the camera POV being used in the final scene keeps shifting from 3rd person to 1st person Tony view in a consistent pattern but when the pattern comes back to a Tony 1st person angle, it cuts to "black" because he's dead and we no longer see anything. That's why the music just stops and why it's referenced before that "you don't hear anything, you just see black" when talking to Bobby Bacalav.
