I’m actually baffled you guys didn’t know the battery packs were on the bottom of Teslas. They are on the bottom of every electric car because the weight keeps the centre of gravity as low as possible to the ground, which helps the performance and likelihood of roll overs immensely. A Tesla model 3 battery weighs 1060 lbs (481 kg) which is almost a third of the cars weight (3805 lbs/1726 kg), if you were to place that weight anywhere else on the car, then it would completely ruin any semblance of drivability. P.S. not a fan of electric, just thought it was more common knowledge
