I will forever prefer Peter Parker over Miles Morales , but some black and Hispanic children can see themselves in him in a way that they just can in Peter and having that representation is very important . PS. this is Sween.

2022-04-05 20:19:31 +0000 UTCI'm not sure how much I'd agree with the representation topic. I think it's a plus when you can more directly relate to the character, but it's definitely not necessary. For example, I can only think of one pansexual character in media, and I didn't relate to him at all outside of that trait. If I ever find a character I like who happens to be pan, then that's certainly a nice bonus. But I don't need writers to start throwing in pan characters just to make people like me feel better
