#102 : Elden Ring is Lit Yo

Thing is, it's more about time and mindset rather than these specific type of games (Having played non of them outside of the first Dark Souls). It's just about boss battles in general (They often feel stretched out rather than hard). I'm also not into rewatching movies all that much either. I have a lot of patience at my job or when it comes to my hobby as a musician/songwriter. I think I just have a extremely limited capacity for trial and error before it just bores me. It's not because I'm bad at stuff. I'm used to not struggling with anything, I generally get through video games rather easily. But I guess, I also see video games as an escape and not somewhere to seek challenge. I get challenge and trial and error when learning to play an instrument (one of the few things I have struggled at but persisted) Short answer though: I don't get any satisfaction from beating a video game or a specific boss. I love video games as an immersive medium to tell a story and as an equivalent to a punching bag. I don't dislike the element of challenge in video game though, it's just another factor that helps to convay a story.

There's a big reason these types of games are not for me. I don't get anything out of killing a big difficult boss. Boss fights in games just feel tedious to me, especially with most of the difficulty coming from the repetitive nature of repeating the same cycle over and over again.. Even in cases where I get through a boss fight first try, my mind still goes finally! I always prefer more enemies over bullet sponges.

For the difficulty mode conversation, they don't want to make an easy mode, plain and simple. They want to make it challenging. And it boils down to 2 things, not forcing the developers make a game they dont want to make, and that not every game has to be made for every single person. Like Chris said a while back, asking for an easy mode in Fromsoft games is like asking for a Halo without shooting

I don’t go to comic shops often, but I frequent a MTG shop with the bf. They have tables and stuff for anyone to play on and special DND nights. They get some profit during special releases for MTG by setting up events where you pay in advance for a special set and you go against other people and the winners get special cards, extra sets, credit with the store. It’s also just kind of a fundamental thing to have in those stores…like to encourage your clientele to buy the game, they need a place to play. They can play and make friends with strangers who come in and build up rep with the store and all that.

I’m so glad someone else remembers Tenchi Muyo. That was for real the only non-mech suit anime that I remember watching as a kid. That and the Followup series “Tenchi in Tokyo”.
