2021-03-31 23:11:47 +0000 UTCJust a little bit of info for the "game music doesn't focus on melody as much as it used to" part: old game consoles only had 3 melodic channels to work with, and the 4th was used for percussion, so composers NEEDED to write music with strong melodies. And if you really pay attention, you'll see that a lot of the melodies just outline chord tones
