August 2024 Drabble #2

Ganondorf/Link – a/b/o; omega!ganondorf; alpha!link; hurt/comfort – after years of being terrorized by the infamous bandit Ganondorf, the Hyrulean guard finally got their hands on him. And found something out that nobody would have expected...

---

The guard standing at the last cell of Hyrule Castle’s jails jerks hard enough that his whole armor clanks when he spots the two individuals rounding the corner.

His hand jerks up to his head in a nervous salute, his eyes growing wide. “P-Princess Zelda! You! Here? Why… you shouldn’t have, Princess. Setting foot into-” His stuttering comes to a halt when the Princess lifts her hand to silence him.

Next to her is her ever present silent shadow. Link is not wearing the armor but he does have his sword at his side and his hand quietly finds its handle once they come to a halt in front of the cell, peering inside.

It is difficult to make anything out. In the darkest corner the shadow seems to be shifting somewhat.

“You did not give him torches?” she asks with a frown.

The guard swallows thickly. “It appears light is aggravating his situation at the moment. And the doctor advised that in his current condition he would feel more comfortable in the dark.”

The Princess tilts her head slightly. She peers intently into the dark until her body angles toward the cell’s bars too much and Link’s arm shoots out, gently halting her from moving any closer.

From the darkness inside, a low warning growl can be heard.

Zelda delicately sniffs the air.

“So he is indeed in heat. I am… surprised, I have to say. I would not have thought that the Ganondorf is an Omega…” she trails off. “How did he get blinded?”

“A freak accident, Princess,” the guard replies. He visibly has recovered from the surprise of seeing Her Highness and is standing still and tall once more. “We were fighting at the edge of a river and the Octorocs there became agitated. The acid hit him right in the eyes. In the end it was this serendipitous occurrence that let us finally put shackles on this menace.”

Zelda hums softly, a faint fold between her eyebrows. “Serendipitous indeed,” she murmurs and takes a single step forward despite Link’s warning arm.

“Ganondorf. Can you hear me?” she calls to the creature in the cell. The shadow becomes very still. “Are you in a position to talk?” she continues to inquire.

A split second later, the shadow moves, hurling itself toward the bars of its cell. Link moves just as quick, pulling Zelda back with a harsh grip on her bicep and unsheathing his sword with the other arm.

Within the blink of an eye the tip of the sword is lightly pressing into the sweat slick throat of the huge warrior that has emerged. Ganondorf’s massively muscled arm has struck through the jail bars like a snake, the square fingertips mere inches from the Princess’ surprised face.

He is breathing harsh, his eyes closed and the skin surrounding it an inflamed red.

“Ah…” Zelda says softly into the silence. “I see. It is no problem, I assure you. Once your heat has broken, we will have… plenty of time to discuss matters further. Until then… Link will tend to your every need.”

Ganondorf’s head jerks backwards and Link half-whirls around to stare at Zelda – both dumbfounded by the announcement.
