Chapter 137- Planning#LMBAM

The room was filled with humans and one demon.

After the news of the Demon King's resurrection, the atmosphere in the palace was quite heavy. The security has doubled, and along with long-range surveillance, some soldiers were sent to keep an eye on the Veil.

Jin was aware that the Demon Lord would return one day. The being whose seven fragments formed the seven Generals, among which Alzeith was also included. The being who was the apostle of darkness and existed with the greed of world dominance.

The main villain of this world against whom Jin and the others have to fight.

This was too sudden. The main character who would be fighting against the Demon King and the only person who could end the Embodiment of Darkness was Aiden. His Excalibur was made for this purpose, and as the child of prophecy, there was no one else who could bring an end to their adversary.

However, Aiden wasn't prepared. He was far behind his canon counterpart. By this point, Aiden should have already ascended the ranking system and had become a demi-god; otherwise, he would not be able to fight against the Demon King. In his current state, forget about fighting, Aiden might get crushed by the sheer force of darkness which the Demon King radiates.

Then there were the other Generals as well. Although Alzeith would never take the demon lord's side, there were the other six to take into account as well.

"How many do you think would betray the Demon King, Al?" Jin asked as he sipped on a strange fruit juice. He seemed the only one who wasn't that tense in comparison to others.

Alzeith was unusually worried as well, as she responded, "No one would go against that being. Not out of loyalty but fear."

Alzeith carries the memories of a Succubus born from one of the seven fragments of the Demon Lord. This being was not merely terrifying; it transcended all forms of fear, instilling an unnatural sense of defeat deep within the minds of its enemies. Its presence alone crushed the spirit, leaving those who faced it overwhelmed by a hopelessness that defied all reason.

Rena took a sharp breath hearing that information. Gazing at Alzeith she asked, "Do you know something about the Demon Lord which we all should know?"

The Succubus Queen glanced at Jin and saw him nodding. Nodding in response, she began, "The truest form of the Demon Lord would take several months to form. And when it does, the two realms would meet once again. The Veil of separation would disintegrate and darkness would spread everywhere."

With her gaze falling to the ground, she added mind-numbing information, "At that time, the blessings of the Light User would significantly weaken."

"Whaaat?!" The reaction arrived from Dia who parted her eyes wide. Aiden and Fiona had a deep frown on their faces as they stared at nothing constant. Silvie already had tears in her eyes.

"That means we won't be able to use our skills?" Rena asked with disbelief evident in her voice.

Jin was the one who answered her, "More like it would be difficult to continue using them for a long duration....and the Darkness Al talked about would hinder us from thinking rationally."

No one knew how Jin had knowledge about that mythical evil being, but in their current state of mind, they didn't question him but rather focused on the matter at hand.

"So what should we do? Form an alliance with the Sages and discuss things?" Aiden raised the query, taking Alzeith and her army as one party of the alliance since she clearly was on the side of peace.

Jin scoffed, but not to make fun of Aiden, rather at the personality of the Sages, "They are delusional and uncompromising beings. They would let themselves and humanity get slaughtered but would never ally with the Demons."

"That's absurd." Rena spat in a disdainful voice mixed with slight annoyance.

"That's how they are. I have heard about the Sages from my father and indeed, they won't participate in an alliance." Fiona supported Jin's statement.

The room fell under another round of silence.

Contemplating the plot, Jin remembered that to shape Aiden into a perfect Protagonist, Lisa, Elena, and his lovers had a major role. Other than long training and going through several dangers, there was no way to prepare Aiden.

Jin can handle the six Generals but the demon king...Aiden had to deliver his role.

"Aiden," Jin called out, gaining the attention of the others including Aiden, before the grey-haired teenager said, "Have you unlocked the second form of the Excalibur?"

"There is a second form?" Aiden asked back, much to Jin's growing anxiety.

"There is, buddy. If only you had tried finding the origin of your sword you would have known what feat it could achieve if you tried to push in that direction."

Rena interrupted, "So you know? Then why didn't you tell him before?"

Her tone irked Alzeith and Fiona but Jin rested his hand over theirs and told Rena,

"I thought there was enough time for him to slowly discover it...but my calculations went haywire by this sudden appearance of Demon King's essence."

Rena nodded in understanding and whispered a 'Sorry' before leaning back in her seat.

Jin turned his eyes toward Silvie before asking, "What about you? Any luck in contacting the spirits?"

The half-elf slowly shook her head from left to right with sadness and regret bubbling in her eyes.

Aiden brought his hand over Silvie's head and softly told her, "Don't be sad, Silvie...you were trying with your all. And I know it more than anyone else."

Aiden's words helped her feel a little better, and the girl turned her round eyes in his direction. Aiden smiled sweetly at her in response.

"*Ahem* can we focus on the matter here?" Rena coughed to break the bubble of romance forming around the two before she turned towards Jin.

Silvie hid her face behind her bangs to hide her boiling face while Aiden looked slightly embarrassed.

Jin would have made some comments on the duo under normal circumstances, but not now.

He narrated the requirement to face the Demon Lord and laid out a plan which they needed to follow.

"In this final battle, everyone else other than Aiden and Silvie has to take care of the Six Generals and the demonic army that they have in possession of. Every being that separates us from the Demon Lord needs to be eradicated by us. And for that, special training and detailed planning is required."

Turning his eyes toward Aiden and Silvie, Jin added, "You two have to work in sync to become a formidable duo. One can deal damage, and one can take care of defense and healing. So from now on, you two need to be together most of the time of the day."

Although she was shy to hear such words of command, Silvie didn't show any resistance and diligently nodded with her fist clenched

Aiden also didn't say anything against that and replied with a short, 'I will do as you say'.

Jin turned his attention towards Rena before asking her, "Remember Master had an artifact which slows down the time?"

Rena was perplexed by the change of subject, but she answered soon after, "Yes...but it was only a one-time thing. That artifact is nothing but a showpiece now."

That lantern was used during that time when Elena was training Jin before he enrolled in Excalius. Rena was quite upset at that time that such a precious artifact was used by a stranger and not by her daughter.

In response to her query, Jin grinned and said, "Just bring me that. I know a way to renew that artifact."
