Superheroes - Awaaay!

If anyone is curious - I'm on this Marvel/DC kick right now because I've been watching Batman '66 lately. I used to love the movie as a kid, and now I'm watching the series. It's so, so much fun, but it's also reconnected me with an old love.

A lot of you know I have a *lot *of criticisms of Marvel and DC, but it seems like I've gotten so sour the past ten/twenty years, unable to have the smallest of conversations without saying something harsh or coarse.

It's fine to be a detractor and speak about what you prefer, and although I have a very cynical sense of humour, it never hurts to keep one eye on it, and make sure your cynical humour isn't transitioning into down-rite nastiness, which, I confess to doing often, in recent times.

Watching that old series has gotten me reading comics again, watching movies again, and really reminding me of the things I love about them, and helping me forget what I hate about them. - I think it's reasonable to say that if you hate something *so *much... ...it's often because there's some love, there. Why else would you keep willingly coming back to it?

There's still lots I don't like, but my patience is moving, as is how I handle these frustrations and treat people, and I do this by enjoying what I like about them instead, and my art is really helping me do that. So I hope you all don't mind all the superhero stuff I've been doing lately, it'll likely continue in tandem with everything else, it's fun for me to tinker with at the end of the day.

I feels like the end of an era, though. Like my shriveled black heart has grown like the Grinch's did.
