June Tarotscopes
Added 2024-06-01 00:20:08 +0000 UTCHello, and welcome to June!
“Instructions from the Universe is the channeled theme for June.
This is an optimal month to anchor in, get rooted, or reroot into the symbolic, the mystical, and the patterns that are unfolding on the subtle level. Archetypes, words, poetry, rituals, and creative projects all serve to anchor and guide you. If you had a word of the year, how have you been honoring it? How has it shown up for you? If you’ve been using the Tarot Cards of the Year—or had your own personal Cards of the Year—how have these archetypes supported you?”
—this is an excerpt from Many Moons.
This June at the studio we’re hosting a brand new offering:
called The Creative Intuitive Tarot, it’s a 3-week series to help you reconnect and reinvent yourself, all while strengthening your Tarot Practice. Comprised of teachings about interpretation, integration, archetypal work, and Tarot education I’ve shared
nowhere else, it’s a breath of fresh air to lead you into an expansive and generative summer.
This month’s playlist is here.
As always, read for your Rising, or any other potent placements: Sun, Moon, Stellium, or a part of your chart you feel like is activated right now! As always, these may make more sense about halfway through the month, or beyond.
Aries
The Sun Rx
Expect moments of frustration in June. Uncertainty, doubt, and more than one bump in the road will happen. Rockiness is part of any existence, it’s not your fault, firestarter. At this moment, you are not yet able to understand the why behind what is happening. The lesson is patience and resilience. Success is about meeting challenges as your best self, and staying centered.
There’s something going on you can’t quite perceive, even though certain people in your life are trying to give you hints about behaviors or perspectives that need adjustments. Repeating patterns are clues about where to shift your responses or assumptions. There is at least one realm or relationship where you dim your light or feel obligated to take up less space. There is at least one space you reside in that isn’t supportive of your skills, where you are under-functioning or overqualified. It might not be time to let go of these connections, but it is time to become aware of why this is happening.
The first stage of any greater shift is awareness. Protection can easily turn into defense or avoidance, and unprocessed shame can easily turn into self-flagellation. Grow your capacity to take accountability with a huge dose of compassion. After you gain more self-trust, the skies will part, and different choices will lead to smoother pathways.
Suggested spell ingredients: Memoirs of folks who have overcome great odds, resilience, hypnosis, yellow color therapy, and The Creative Intuitive Tarot workshop series.
Taurus
8 of Cups
Taurus, you are loved and appreciated far beyond what you can understand. So please, please PLEASE do not choose violence in June. Please, take a deep breath and a step back. The universe is paying attention and it wants to reward you. You aren’t going to be able to get what you truly need where you are. Instead of staying hooked, trapped, and frustrated in familiar dynamics, this month, you must move on.
You’ve been in limbo for the last 18 months or so: not quite in one space, dipping your toes in, but not fully committed. Jupiter leaving your first house (or your Sun, for all you Taurus Suns) will feel like a relief; not many understand how you uncomfortable the spotlight makes you, how too much focus on yourself makes you feel indulgent. You are happiest when you are a vessel, channeling the energy of gold and green. You are happiest when you are doing: working, taking action, creating beauty, and making moves in flow. You are happiest when you feel like you are on solid ground, but unfortunately, you won’t feel totally solid this month. Foster a sense of security within as you navigate unfamiliar terrain.
Underneath all of this is a very real need to recommit to a consistent spiritual practice. What is the ripest, the most fulfilling, the most interesting practice to invest in this month? Remember that the modality doesn’t matter as much as the presence, creativity, devotion, and dedication you bring.
Suggested spell ingredients: Salt water, this special episode about the 8 of Cups, ocean jasper, black candles, and The Creative Intuitive Tarot workshop series.
Gemini
The Knight of Swords
Björk once shared that her process is a mix of discipline and cliff jumps: she practices and practices for weeks, sometimes months, to be able to capture the recording in one take. Whether you feel shaky or sure of yourself, this month is a time for that practice perfect to one-take mindset. You’ve been practicing something for long enough for it to be ready to fly out into the world. And if there is something, or some things you’ve been yearning to invest more time and skill into, hunker down, focus, and get it done. Due dates and accountability buddies can be best friends. Whether it’s the first draft of a screenplay, learning a new program, or folding that ominous mound of laundry in the corner, put it in your cal, gamify your process, or enlist a friend as a body double so you coast through your to-do list.
With Mercury moving into your sign this month (and for those Gem risings, amplifying your Geminess), YOU become the message. What you have to say and how you say it is increasingly important this month. Don’t start conversations you don’t want to have. Have the hard conversation more effectively, doused in honey and equanimity. You forget how influential you are, sometimes. Take advantage of your natural gifts of communication and persuasion for the greater good of all.
Venus is also in Gemini for half of the month, helping to attract more positive attention. You’re ready to cross-pollinate in some way, whether it be others, or in an existing project. Trust those impulses to experiment, to find a different friend or two, or to play with a new genre. The Knight of Swords reminds you to refine your thoughts and get closer to the point of not only your communication but your greater why. Is there a great yearning that you’re ready to make more real? Talk about it, think about it, move towards it…and move from the essence behind it.
Suggested spell ingredients: Circular breathing, non-negotiable due dates, honey on your tongue, social media detoxes, non-violent communication, and The Creative Intuitive Tarot.
Cancer
Judgement
It’s easy to see a troll on the internet leaving hateful comments on someone’s page and know that whatever they spew is merey a reflection of what is inside of them, not anyone else. It’s harder for you to remember that when you feel disrespected, misunderstood, or unseen in your real-life relationships and interactions. Somehow, it feels like it’s your fault that you are overlooked or projected upon. Somehow, it feels like it should’ve gotten easier by now.
Ease is a myth, particularly when you are a holographic, ever-evolving creature; you shed your shell with each season, forever trying to catch up to the present moment of you. It will get easier when you lock more into your positive obsessions. It will get easier when you do more of what you know you must be doing long-term, instead of putting out unimportant fires, being overly concerned with other people’s opinions, or succumbing to short-lived dopamine hits. How you spend your time is how you signal to the Universe what is most important. The quality of the energy you stay rooted in is how you signal to your subconscious that you are safe to do more of what you love.
Our relationships with anyone and anything is first and foremost a relationship with ourselves. We are in relationship through our perspective, our cosmologies, and our idea of who we think the other person is, and who we think we are (or who we think we need to be). If you are finding your relationships imbalanced or frustrating this month, you must first come into a more whole and loving relationship with yourself. Cultivate more self-fullness, more attraction to obsessions and flow states and nature and servicing the collective, and see what changes in a month.
Suggested spell ingredients: Prayers, pearls, angel trumpets, new styles, and the Creative Intuitive Tarot workshop series.
Leo
Page of Pentacles
You clean up the mess little by little, day by day. You put on a timer for 15 minutes and with focus and drive, you cross the items off your to-do list. You do the most uncomfortable thing first, and then celebrate the heck out of yourself. You call the doctor, the bill collector, then dance to your favorite playlist. You notice when there’s a clenched jaw and a too tight breath, and loosen up and exhale. Little by little, bit by bit, this is how you come back to yourself. Little by little, this is how you grow.
The themes that you are doing all this reorganization and rearrangement through are money, work, wealth, physical health, time, abundance, and the material world. Yes, this is a wide range of themes! But all of them are related. One of them will rise to the forefront for you this month. You’ll know what to focus on because it will be a continuation of last month’s focus, or it will be much too compelling to ignore.
June is messy: the messy middle. Don’t forget to bless this mess. Because what profound rearrangement process doesn’t have a messy stage? Look for mentors, teachers, and guides. All you brave Leos might want to share your process with your audience or friends: it might encourage them to show up in all their messy glory. At the very least, keep track of what you are doing and celebrate your progress. It’s real, and you’re doing incredible work.
Suggested spell ingredients: Colorful spreadsheets, gold stars, a coach or therapist or guide, humor, and The Creative Intuitive Tarot Workshop Series.
Virgo
9 of Cups Reversed
At times, your highly developed discernment can tip over into paranoia. After you get some great news, or some hard-won success comes through, your first impulse sometimes is to wait for the other shoe to drop, or find some way to minimize the accomplishment. Or, be so tired from all the work you did to get there that you can’t completely enjoy it. Even worse, there’s a tinge of grief and resentment attached to the accomplishment, which leaves you vaguely disappointed in yourself.
In June, this cycle ends. To get to the next level, you’ve got to believe that you can do so with more ease and trust. There’s got to be fun, experimentation, and all around, a looser and lighter touch. That goes for your dreams, but it also includes all your relationships—including your relationship with yourself. Try being your own best friend as much as possible, and see what happens.
The rest of this year is for you to bring forth some long-dormant, beautiful dreams—or at least, start to figure out, and name, what they actually are. There are some major gifts and talents you’ve been sleeping on and now it’s time to wake them up. When was the last time you impressed and delighted yourself? When was the last time you let life, family, friends, or the universe inspire you? Go towards awe, get honest about birthing a desire, reorient around reverence for the world and your precious Self.
Suggested spell ingredients: Scribbles and doodles, shooting stars, lapis lazuli, a list of worries and resentments to burn, and The Creative Intuitive Tarot workshop series.
Libra
Emperor Reversed
Sometimes you forget that magic exists. It’s understandable, what with all the obligations of the everyday and the horrors that swirl around us globally. If your nervous system has been blown open or dysregulated, or if you’ve felt exceedingly numb or going through the motions in life, June will support more regulation and rootedness. Think of energy like a tree: what nutrients will help replenish your life force? What systems, habits, and organization will help you long-term? This is a month to become more stable by implementation. The synchronicities, coincidences, flow, and glimmery moments that make life feel more rom-com than horror flick will visit you once some schedules, routines, and commitments have been created.
Magic needs spaciousness and confidence, belief and clarity. It needs a capacity large enough to receive the gifts and abundance that want to flow in. Once you’ve felt the connection to all the support you have in the material and etheric worlds, magic requires surrender. As you make time for the practical, invite in the desires, all the yearnings, all ripe ideas that burst forth after you ask: wouldn’t it be cool? and what if? With Jupiter either trining your first house (Libra Rising), or your Sun (Libra Sun), there’s a burst of gifts of support and expansion. Once you gain clarity, Jupiter can help you make something beautiful, and ground you back into your power.
Power is often confused for control. Ironically, your power returns when you give up illusions of control. To experience more magic, throw away expectations and limits. To experience more magic, make time for surprises, different perspectives, and gratitude for the support already on its way.
Suggested spell ingredients: Burdock infusion, the bigger picture, the smaller blessings, pyrite, and the Creative Intuitive Tarot workshop series.
Scorpio
Temperance
Lucky you, Scorpio! You got Temperance, also known as The Universe Has Entered the chat. To receive this archetype as a guide for this month, combined with our collective energetic theme for the month, Instructions From The Universe, feels like all of June you will have a direct line to support and insight from beyond. You’re in a deep conversation with the greater world, and your future self right now.
Take advantage of the alchemical process, by way of the initiations and calls for growth that are before you. Pain and a certain sobriety are a part of this process, but so are beauty and wonder. You are developing capacity not just to handle the pain, but to handle the joy.
Pay attention to the cues that lie just outside the mundane, so subtle it feels like you are almost imagining them. Attune yourself to sensations that lay just beyond that which you can give language to. Pay attention to the metaphors, the messages that pop up inside your awareness, and outside as you interface with reality. Each day might bring equal doses of grief and gratitude. Part of your integration process is being able to experience a spectrum of states without being totally hooked on any of them: ride the waves. If you do so, June brings the ability to access what lies beyond the false limits you’ve created around worth, connection, and big dreams.
Suggested spell ingredients: A dream journal, alchemy, trips to the recycling center, obsidian, and The Creative Intuitive Tarot workshop series.
Sagittarius
Strength
Strength comes to us when we need it most. It isn’t the absence of vulnerability, in fact, courage is often a depth of vulnerability that can be intimidating to access. June beckons you to go deeper into the heart of the matter in many different aspects of life. If you’ve been staying with the status quo, why? If you’ve spent time numbed out, on autopilot, or accepting the bare minimum, why is that? Let your inquiries be as gentle as a mother lion licking her newborn cub. Honesty is important, but so is giving yourself the softness you sometimes overlook.
The antidote this month will be found in connection. Accept all invitations that seem even vaguely interesting. Place yourself in spaces that like-hearted people congregate in. Get on the apps, or reach out to old friends. Discomfort proceeds growth. We are cringe until we are free.
You got the Strength card in a Strength year, which means all its themes are available to you now. Strength is often traditionally a symbol of recovery, of life force coming back, by way of heart expansion and vitality. It’s about facing your fears, which lay as protectors for certain desires. Whatever you commit to now will be flourishing by late summer. Do it scared, but do it. You are coming into your own, and you will be successful. Keep going, with an open heart and a straight spine.
Suggested spell ingredients: This episode of Moonbeaming, rose quartz, oat straw tonic, RSVPS, and The Creative Intuitive Tarot Workshop series.
Capricorn
Justice
The world is on fire, and you are part of the world. There is no other archetype who is more aware of the bigger picture than you. Capricorn, few understand how serious you are about making the world a better place. June is for figuring out what you have the capacity for, and what is most effective. Burning yourself out isn’t an effective strategy. Get real about energy leaks. Get honest if it is time to take a break, or if it is time to take more value-aligned actions. Imbalance is natural, but it isn’t sustainable, and June is for making adjustments.
The Tarot has an important message for you this month with Justice. Justice is about what is right here now, Justice is about the truth. There’s an aspect of Justice often not spoken about, which is its connection to cause and effect. Also called Karma, this is about closing certain loops, seeing your part in certain dynamics, and ending archaic patterns. This is about creating new pathways, new timelines, and new relationships. You’ve never been more ready.
This is the key to your rebalance: get clear about what situations you do not want to repeat, and proceed accordingly. Notice where you are reactionary, and choose compassion instead. Notice how you don’t want to behave, and adjust your behavior. Get smarter about how you use your energy, so you can show up in your life and for the world in ways that support your energy, not drain it.
Suggested spell ingredients: A behavioral inventory, the 80/20 rule, obsidian, effective activism, and The Creative Intuitive Tarot workshop series.
Aquarius
Ten of Wands, Reversed
It’s time to set down all the burdens that are not yours, Water Bearer. The inner critic, the comparisons, the guilt, the perfectionism: the internal stories and reactions have weighed you down for far too long. There are some external burdens as well: draining relationships, career expectations, and at least one major obligation must be let go of in the next 2 months. For some time, you’ve known that something has to give, and in June, you may have no choice but to let go. Do it now, with grace, respect, and humility, before it happens in a nastier way later.
We hold onto pain and suffering for different reasons. There’s habit: the comfort zone is familiar, and humans code familiar as safe. Add in time and epigenetics, and you’ve got quite a tangle to unravel. There’s fear of rejection, failure, and other people’s opinions. And underneath it all, deep in the subconscious, there’s the belief that you must toil, that certain relationships or aspects of life must fall all on you, that you won’t have worth or acceptance if you aren’t the one carrying all that weight. It’s time to parse out which is the largest reason keeping you holding on, and figure out how to move through it.
Your invitations now are beautiful, meant to bring you relief: drop the burdens. Ask for help. You don’t have to go it all alone. It was never your path, never your pain. What’s on the other side is so much brighter and more aligned. Trust yourself as you walk through the bonfires of loss, grief, and surrender.
Suggested spell ingredients: Bonfires, at least 3 kind but firm “no thank you’s,” early bedtimes, nettle, and the Creative Intuitive Tarot workshop series.
Pisces
8 of Swords
Before you become nobody, you have to become somebody. That’s some fantastic advice from the one and only Ram Dass about shapeshifting and ego dissolution. If you don’t know who you are, outside of labels and external attachments, it’s much harder to let go of what does not serve you. June is about getting reacquainted with the core aspects of your essence. Beyond projections, trauma, and distortions that may bind, there’s an abundance of gifts, insights, and intelligence. Gaining more perspective begins with radical acceptance of how you’ve been holding back, or keeping yourself in helpless mode.
It’s curse-breaking time.
Most of us make our choices based on what happened in the past, or through the lens of our fears, not through the present or not through love. Some of us make our decisions based on a fear of the future, or anticipatory anxiety. We can’t ever truly know what the future will hold. How we think about ourselves and what is possible for us influences it in profound ways. What is here now? And what is true? Your mind is a powerful tool that you are ready to use with more precision and more refinement. Start with a full build-out of an identity you wish to embody for this next phase. Let nothing stop you from being who you most need to be in every situation. And let nothing stop you from shapeshifting, when it’s time to become nothing again.
Suggested spell ingredients: Non-duality, makeovers, keys, cloud oracles, and
The Creative Intuitive Tarot workshop series.
