A Sincere Post

Indeed, many people who accused me that it's not a game but a tech demo are right. However, it was important to me to release even this tech demo and gather people's opinions to see if I'm heading in the right direction. It's morally challenging to put something online for public scrutiny and criticism. Did the game have a concept in my mind? Definitely yes, but that concept was shattered by the harsh reality of the complexities of game development. Many cool ideas I wanted to implement would have taken months to develop, and I simply couldn't handle such a heavy task. Working on a project purely out of enthusiasm, and I understand that no one would want to play versions 0.001, 0.002, 0.003.
A Bit About TGTS LiveChanger
I don't know if people will like the game; even now, it's still rough, but it has minimal content, a devised plot, and some form of gameplay, even if it's just a silly clicker. If you have any ideas, feel free to share them on Discord. I deliberately didn't create a Discord server exclusively for patrons. Not everyone has the means to support some unknown creator on Patreon, but ideas or the simple desire to talk to the author are more accessible. Many systems are already implemented: clothing, character transformations, a cool dialogue menu (in my opinion), character emotions. All that's left is to come up with the foundation for how to apply them in an interesting and narratively justified way.
A Bit About Me
Honestly, my life is somewhat like hell. I haven't left the country, I have no opportunities, and frankly, no desires either—if it weren't for these events. Every drone or missile flyover feels like Russian roulette (what a pun, lol). Even a fragment can hit your window and turn you into meat mince. Living in such circumstances is incredibly difficult. I thought of posting only about the game here and on Discord, but I think I'll change the way I present my posts. Maybe by being open with people and showing that you're not just some anonymous person on the internet, more people will be interested in the project.
A Bit About Development
When I started the project, I had zero experience with Unity, Blender, or time management. I only made simple Minecraft mods, but I didn't even release them. I was very optimistic, thinking that creating a simple indie project in Unity would be an easy two-month task. But the reality turned out to be much more complicated. Starting with the fact that Unity itself has a lot of subtle nuances, Blender turned out to be hell, developing a coherent gameplay and plot is just – boom. Many people will only see the surface of the project. If you've been working on something like changing the time of day in rooms for weeks, few will appreciate it.
Unity is an existing engine; many solutions are ready-made. It's easier than writing your own engine, which I probably could never do. Yes, I could have made a game with RPG Maker or Ren'Py, but it didn't seem like the right fit for me. I can't draw pictures/sprites, and I can't write a great plot either.
Regarding the previous post, yes, September dragged on =)
I truly enjoy developing, and even with just a dozen people and a couple of patrons who showed interest in the project or donated a few dollars, I am really grateful to you. You are awesome 🤟.
