Arenus Update

The problem is they announced this project far too early. On top of that they still work on Roundscape and other projects. They should have kept quite about Arenus until they had a demo ready or at least close to ready. Think about how long it's been since they told us about Arenus. Hype is nice. Following through with promises is better. I am still supporting them because of Roundscape. I honestly do not care about Arenus one bit. How could i care about nothing, which is what it is right now. Anyway, i hope they are doing well during these crazy times and look forward to their future work.

I apologize for the lack of updates but the team's working very hard on finishing the demo which is our nr. 1 priority atm. I'm aware that the delays leave a bitter taste but i'm confident in the product and in the end that's what matters: A good game. We've added a lot of new features in the last months: Animated Busts, PC Traits and a complete new game feature similar to rogue-lites. We added those not because we had to but because we wanted to. The next Patreon Post will be a special one. Thank you for your patience.

Is there a public demo for any of these games? i'm new here and whenever i click download in the main screen it takes me to a locked post.

So any updates at all? Been a month with no news this is kind of getting to be a habit. I dont mean to complain but have been supporting you guys for like 5 years and does it really take much to post a little bit of an update even if its bad news better than this silence.

Unless something drops tomorrow we are looking at a two month delay on the demo. It's good the devs don't want to release an unfinished product but they would save themselves a lot of unnecessary frustration if they were simply honest about the state of the game. When you consistently fail to follow through on release dates it creates a trust deficit. Devs would be better off just saying it will be done when it's done and letting the product stand on its own when it does. It definitely looks good on paper. Hopefully all these delays contribute to a solid final product and are not an indication of something worse.

A month later.... Call me crazy but it doesnt take that long for it to heal. At least not to the point where you can work from home. I guess it was a cover up for a bigger issue huh?

Kal is the main dev of Arenus, so him not being able to work properly or at all due to health issues will obviously delay the game. They are an indie company, not a big AAA where devs are replaceable and one missing won't impact anything. Beside health, he still crunched hard to try and keep the promise too. So don't think that's a convenient excuse, just life being life and screwing us all

Wisdom teeth can be a bugger. I've had two out: both under local anaesthetic, with no major pain afterwards and no infections, but have friends who have suffered, and i know how much abscesses can hurt, and be a big distraction from doing anything. Hope yours ends up on the low end of the pain spectrum.
