Ohh this makes sense. I thought she was getting rid of evidence but I guess that makes no sense because she was prescribed that amount. I think the disconnect I felt was knowing she shouldn't have had that much to today's standards LOL

And the son not only represents her son, but also the mental health of each character. He represents what she sees, yes, but he also represents how her mental illness affects everyone else, which is why he interacts with them but they don't with him. Also, she flushed the meds she got from the doctor bc they made her numb and she missed the highs and lows of life that she had before, the actual feelings.
