HUH!

ahhh the cut off in one last time pained me LOL can't wait to see the next part reacting to the rest of it! Also the room where it happens was kinda like a tribute to the fact nobody actually was in the room and isn't generally in politics (private meeting ifyk what I mean) so really anything could have been said and we would never know !:)

Lin wrote songs for Moana after Hamilton.

… 😕 Too bad. But I’m sure you recovered. “One More Time” is my fav performance in the whole show. Chris Jackson will forever be Washington in my brain.

Ms. Chuck Terry

There was a mysterious dinner arranged by Jefferson, attended by Madison and Hamilton. “Room Where It Happens” is an amazing song because it covers the history in the first half, and Leslie kills the performance in the second half. A good and concise summary of what happened is called “The Dinner Table Bargain, June 1790” on the PBS American Experience site.

Ms. Chuck Terry

Jefferson was basically the father of political dirty tricks in America. While he was Secretary of State, he had a muckraking reporter working for him ON THE STATE DEPARTMENT'S PAYROLL publishing columns criticizing Washington's government. Later, that minion was found drowned in shallow water. But the Dinner Table Compromise was a real thing. Hamilton got to be the architect of America's financial system and the south got Washington D.C. Washington stepping down was one of the most consequential acts undertaken by an American president. One day, history is going to look at another presidential act undertaken this year in much the same light, however.

Whenever I hear Matt Mercer/ Crit Role mentioned I get very excited haha. Love to see some Critical Role love when least expected!

Hamilton absolutely created the national Treasury, it's what he's known for and why he's on the ten dollar bill even though he was never president.

The Room Where it Happens is such a good villain song. (I use the word villain lightly). It perfectly lays out his motivations and ambitions and it just such a BOP.

Nick Young

Also, not a spoiler for anything in the musical but in case you needed a reason to be a little sad today: Washington only got to enjoy his private life after stepping down for less than three year before passing away.

I can't recommend highly enough that once you finish Hamilton, you check out The Hamilton Polka by Weird Al. It's an absolute masterpiece that captures all the best moment as only Weird Al can.
