I think we all had our own ideas of what Crowley looked like as an angel, but I was way off and I'm delighted. He's so full of joy and wonder, guileless and honest as an apple. It kind of breaks my heart, and part of me can understand why Aziraphale would want to give that back to him... but it's a small part. Because the thing is, Crowley hasn't really changed too much.
This was really fun to paint. He has such a beautiful face, and I love those big Bambi eyes full of stars. The colors in this scene were a little Willy Wonka. I don't do a lot with blue and purple, but I like it. And of course, my favorite fan canon about gold freckles ✨
