My therapist recommended vent art as a constructive way to express my negative feelings, and she usually knows what she's talking about.
There are times when you have an idea that's very vivid and you think, Well that's clearly way out of my skill set, it'll never look the way I see it in my head. It's really easy to get discouraged before you even start, but hopefully you try anyway. If you work on any type of project you know that there's sometimes a moment when you hit like a momentum boost, where you can see it happening, and you get super excited about it. I get this with knitting and cooking sometimes, where all of a sudden it goes from concept to PRODUCT, and you think I'm actually doing it! It's gonna be awesome!
This is hugely inspired by the work of artists like Sachinteng, by the video for Baths' "Lovely Bloodflow", and by Crowley's beautiful neck, which I would not like to slice like a bread loaf, but very much rather lovingly smooch.
