Added 2022-05-12 00:46:45 +0000 UTCI don't usually do purely update posts here, but I just want to thank you friends for the incredible response to my last WIP with the swords. I don't think I'm able to reply to all of your wonderful comments, but they have made the last couple days so much better. You are always so thoughtful, encouraging, supportive and kind to me, but comments on that last piece really overwhelmed me in a good way.
Nobody's perfect. I struggle with that, because my failings aren't acceptable to me. As a parent, I can't behave badly and expect better out of my child, so I don't get to screw up -- but that's not a healthy way to look at things, because I don't expect my son to never be irrationally angry. I should show him how a person deals with irrational anger in a healthy way, which is NOT to just quit. I tell him, and I should tell myself: you don't have to be perfect, you just have to do the best you can.
Thank you again. I say it a lot, but god, I really mean it. You guys are so amazing and I treasure you.
