Summer School - Movie Review

Well hey there!

It's been a little while since the last movie review, so I hope some of you will be pleased to see this format return! I'm back with my buddy Chadtronic this time because I feel like we've got really good chemistry and also some similar tastes when it comes to bad movies. Be sure to check out his channel as well, because we recorded a second collab that he uploaded! React videos are not my forte, but I did my best.

This movie was pretty wild, and it has some pretty adult themes in there. I'm a little curious as to how that might effect video and ad performance since I know/think that YouTube is trying to crack down on more controversial content. Mostly it was just fun to sit back and chat about a bad movie with a pal, and I hope that translated to an enjoyable video watching experience.

Next up should be a new game review! I'm actually hoping to get that one out next week, so fingers crossed for a quick turnaround on that one.

It's been nice to step away from food videos for a little bit. It's a little nerve-racking since I know that those videos are undoubtedly my top performers/earners, but I needed a break. Food isn't something that I'm necessarily passionate about - I'm just passionate about making rad videos. I found myself struggling to innovate with the food thing, and it started to become a grind. Instead of getting totally burned out, I'm just stepping away for a bit until the ideas seem fun again.

I've said it time and again, but I really want to start focusing on having fun while making videos. It's so so easy to get bogged down with analytics and the business side of things, and I've found myself in that rut again. I work faster, upload more, and find more success when I'm enjoying my creative process, so I need to get back to that. I had an absolute blast making that arcade video, so I might expect some more of that from me soon. We'll see.
